• I think it would be beneficial for the media to broadcast in courtrooms.

I believe that broadcasting in courtrooms would be helpful for people who want to understand the justice system and in many cases, if a case effects them, it would be nice for people to know what the decision of the court is as the verdict comes down. In cases of juries, they are already picked so I don't think televising the case could form any biases that would harm the defendant or plaintiff.

  • Don't they already?

In a way, the media already does broadcast in courtooms, with shows such as "The People's Court" and "Judge Judy". These are apprently real cases that are filmed by the media for people to watch at home and see exactly what goes on in a real courtoom, while not having to actually be there.
