When the value of money drops and worker's salaries remain the same, people can't afford basic living. While this is a less extreme version of this type of outrage, the case in point is that in order for the minimum wage to be what it was in the late 20's, factoring in inflation, would have to be around 20 dollars an hour rather than the current ~8. More than double!
Minimum wage is not fair at times. The big corporations are paying little money and their profits are growing faster. They are also cutting hours and the employees left have to do double the work. I think minimum wage should definitely be raised. Raises motivate workers and therefore drive what makes us Money in the first place.... Customer service.
