Should the Supreme Court overturn Obama's healthcare law?

  • Hurting or Helping...

This isn't helping more people that it hurts in the long run. "The Supreme Court's job is to overturn laws that are unconstitutional and need to be changed. Opinions of the good it may do are irrelevant to this. The current healthcare bill Obama is passing is unconstitutional for various reasons, including the fact that it forces people to do things against their will, especially when it comes to religious freedom.

  • Yes.

  • Yes the Supreme Court should overturn Obama's healthcare law

This law is nothing more than modern day slavery. To be forced outright to buy, or in the employer's case to pay for, one's healthcare whether one wants it, needs it, or can afford it, is un-American and unconstitutional. It is NOT what this country was supposed to be founded upon.

And that's not even touching the fact that besides being forced to pay for this healthcare, you don't even get a say in how much care or what type of care you receive! It will be entirely government run, so your life will LITERALLY be in their hands. If they wish you to die, you have no choice in the matter whatsoever.

So no matter how you slice it, Obama's healthcare law needs to be overturned without a doubt.

  • It might need to be revised

I can't see how any person with even half a heart could deny healthcare to another living person. The problem is that the healthcare system is corrupt. Doctors requiring tests that are not needed. Keeping people alive when they should go to their final rest. It's a business. That's the problem. If the insurance companies and government monitors would monitor the system more carefully perhaps the costs would be more affordable. In my opinion, healthcare should be free. The U.S. is wasting money fighting wars rather than caring for its pun citizens. We should bring back despencing pharmacies. People have to see an MD to get a prescription for an antibiotic. If someone has an earache with feaver they have an infection that needs to be treated with an antibiotic. We should be able to tell the pharmacist our symptoms and have them prescribe. Perhaps we should look the Cuban healthcare system. I believe it's free. While we are at it why not look at Cuba's education system as well. They have a 97 percent literacy rate. Most Americans read on a 4th to 6th grade level.

  • I don't understand

How is it unconstitutional? People use that phrase very liberally, when in fact most things they are complaining about aren't unconstitutional. The Affordable Care Act gives affordable health care to millions of people who couldn't have it before. Even if it was unconstitutional, which it's not, it helps a lot of people and should be left in place. Not to mention that the Supreme Court already ruled it constitutional.

  • No.

This is an argument of people vs. the companies they work for. The Constitution governs people, and protects people. It is not unconstitutional for the government to require healthcare and caretaking for its citizens. I believe the government should watch out for it's lower citizens with as much care as it does corporations, and the benefits of either should filter down. Everyone deserves a chance.

  • Contradictory

This Court has already voted on ObamaCare and found it Constitutional. To vote on it again would only be to placate people, and since the highest court of the land has already deemed it lawful, there is no standing to question its legality. Besides this, ObamaCare is truly legislation for the people, bringing healthcare to thousands who would have previously gone uninsured and cost the taxpayers millions.

  • ObamaCare Is Perhaps One of the Greatest Things to Happen to the United States

Why would you want to repeal it? ObamaCare has given millions of Americans access to health care that they couldn't receive before. Sure, it puts a burden on employers to provide their employees with health insurance and such, but that's just how life is. If you want the responsibility of starting a business and hiring employees, you have to accept the responsibility of taking care of your employees' financial and health issues.
