Should the Supreme Court put greater restrictions on women's access to abortion?

  • Abortion is Murder

Lets take a minute to talk about what abortion is. Abortion is terminating a pregnancy, the baby is killed before it is born. A lot of people say abortion isn't murder because the child is small, and not yet out of the womb. A person is legally declared dead when they no longer have a heartbeat or brainwaves, so the reverse of that would mean a person is alive right? The point is, by the time a woman finds out she is pregnant the baby has a heartbeat, and brainwaves, it can feel pain and can think. The supreme court should make abortion illegal, because we should not live in a country where women murder thousands of their own babies a day. We cannot deny a human being a chance at life, because of the poor choices people have made.

  • Abortion is Wrong

Abortion is an evil, selfish choice. When you abort your child, your are ending another person's life just to stop yourself from going through the consequences of your decision to have unprotected sex. One of the biggest mistakes in the history of the Supreme Court was Roe v. Wade, and they need to do everything they can to stop more killings of babies.
More babies are killed by abortions than by the holocaust.

  • Your child's life is not your own

We live in a culture where we are all control-freaks, we are even at the point of trying to be in control of our child's life, whereas their lives really belong to God, we, nor the supreme court, nor any doctor can decide whether a life should be taken. People are not wise enough, smart enough, or aware enough, to understand what taking a life is truly doing.

  • Yes they should

There is plenty of science to show that unborn babies are humans. I'm not in the camp of banning abortion but I believe we should restrict it, and work to prevent un planned pregnancies with birth control and sex ed. Fetuses are people and they have rights. They need to be looked after.

  • No, I don't believe so.

It will only cause more suffering and potential deaths due to it. Honestly, I'm all for complete access when she wants it; whether or not the clinic itself decides to regulate on the basis of viability or harm towards the mother is for it to decide. They are capable of doing so as long as the first trimester remains open. I don't believe the Government should have any say on what a woman does with her body.

And I think religion should be kept out of it too. If the religious do not want to have it, then that is for them as individuals to decide and follow through. No one should have a say in the actions of another, more so when abortion is brought forth.

Personhood is philosophical and not at a consensus. Moreover, rights belong to born persons, something that a fetus is not. A woman is already a born person equipped with rights that go far above that of the fetus. If she does not want something that invaded her body, she should not be forced to keep it and birth it.

I believe restrictions should remain on the decision of the abortion clinic, keeping the first trimester open entirely.

I'm an avid believer in removing the reason and not the right to abortion. I believe if more focus was pushed on the already born children, sex education, and the like, then it wouldn't be as much problem as it is.

That's just my opinion as a pro-choice, though.

  • No restrictions on Women

We live in a time of free speech and free will, yet in the case of female pregnancy, everyone wants a say in what a woman does with her body. A woman has to right to keep her child or not. There are many reasons for aborting a child, some of those reasons are legitimate.

  • No, it's dangerous to restrict women's access to abortion.

If the government restricts women's access to abortion, they will be putting those women's lives in jeopardy. History has already shown that women will seek out abortions irregardless of their legality. Making abortions difficult or illegal to access will encourage back-alley abortions, where women are prone to deadly infections and medical complications.

  • Abortion Access is a Human Right

If women don't have access to abortion services, they will attempt to perform dangerous at-home or DIY abortions. Historically, women have died or become very medically damaged from attempting to have abortions without medical supervision. Abortions have long been a part of the way humans deal with their bodies, and it's necessary that abortions be performed as safely as possible. It shouldn't be a procedure taken lightly, but access is necessary and should be performed safely.

  • Women Should Have a Choice

The Supreme Court should not put more restrictions on women's access to abortion. It is the woman's body, not the government's. A lot of women choose abortion due to health issues (mother or baby), or the inability to care for the child. If abortion becomes more restricted or illegal, I believe there will be many more children in the foster care system, homeless, or in other bad situations.
