  • Yes, Denuclearise US

US the first nation to use nuclear weapon against civilians. US lost its moral rights to preach other nations on denuclearising weapons. Be the change you wish to see in the world, lead by good example. Denuclearise is same as gun control, protect people by positive changes. Say 'NO' to violent methods. Live! Let Live!

  • They'd be a dictatorship over the world.

The United States wants everyone to lost all nuclear capability, except themselves. However, if they have the power to destroy entire countries while those other countries have no way to defend themselves, there's nothing to stop an ambitious US from conquering the entire planet. While they could not denuclearize and not force others to denuclearize, which would be politically similar to no one having nukes, this has a much higher possibility of destroying the planet.

  • Yes US has to denuclearize its nuclear arsenal

US was the first who developed nuclear weapons and that very first step resulted in today’s consequences and created lots of messes and threats among country. So , US should become role model and have a huge summit or conferences with all world leaders especially those with nuclear capabilities and have a discussion about worldwide denuclearisation. Hope that a global doctrine of denuclearisation for all country could established in the near future so that peace could be attained.

  • Wars don't create peace!

History proves, that no war has ever created peace. The wars of the Jews, described in the Bible, and written about by Flavius Josephus, did not create peace. The Persian wars, the Roman wars, etc.Etc. Right up until today, did not create peace on earth. Bigger, more vicious weapons are not the solution. Only justice can create peace.

  • Yes. US has no authority for nukes

The US is the only country that used nuclear bombs on another. Japan. The US always wants to be involved in wars and conflicts to make money. In fact there was seldom a time America wasnt at war. During the cold war , America came close to nuking Russia. President Truman , during the Korean war was advocating using nukes on China! If America wants other countries not to develop nuclear weapons, America should first be an example and fully disarm it's totally nuclear arsenal.

  • Nuclear Deterrence is Obsolete

There is no reason to believe another state would launch a full-scale nuclear assault against the United States, or any NATO ally for that matter, as the French and English arsenals will still provide some MAD deterrence. A nuclear arsenal is only as effective as the commitment to use it. America's commitment to MAD is a tacit admission that Americans reserve the right to kill millions of foreigners in "self defence." This is a moral catastrophe, and no such right exists among men (though it may arguably exist among states).

  • Do as i say not as I do?

Of course they should get rid of nukes, how can they be demanding other countries to not hav nuclear weapons when they are the only ones who have ever used them, so far the only dangeroues country with nuclear weapons has proven to be USA not only once, but twice.

  • No, the United States should not denuclearize.

As much as I would LOVE for the world to be denuclearized, let's not kid ourselves. We do not live in a utopia where countries will always respect the deeds of another. We live in a world where the prevailing paradigm is realism. One of the basic views of realism is to arm your country to the teeth in the best weapons that you can so that no one will take the risk of attacking you. The only way that the world becomes denuclearized would be through an immensely thorough, world movement. Even then, however, I can almost guarantee you that most of the powerful nations would have a nuke or two hiding underground just in case it was ever needed.

  • If we get rid of our nukes we weaken our defenses

Iran has been trying to build nuke missles for years and are now only a matter of a few years or less from having a nuclear war head and not to mention they can I'm sure figure a way to intergrate something in a vest they are pro's at that. as long as we maintain having nuclear power we can detur Iran from being to fast to strike an attack on us american infidels as they call us

  • No, the United States should keep its nuclear ansenal

The country has had nuclear weapons since 1945 and they have kept us safe all these years. There's an old, but effective, saying that you don't take a knife to a gun fight. Expecting the country to disarm in the face of our enemies who do have nukes is the same as desiring us to roll over for any tinpot dictator who wants his wishes granted.

  • We need nuclear power to remain strong

As an American, i believe that my own country needs to have nuclear weapons in store, not to use, but to have just in case another country uses them. Right now, with Iran building nuclear weapons, it would be very dangerous for America to disarm themselves, as it leaves them open to a threat from communist nations.
