  • Do as i say not as I do?

Of course they should get rid of nukes, how can they be demanding other countries to not hav nuclear weapons when they are the only ones who have ever used them, so far the only dangeroues country with nuclear weapons has proven to be USA not only once, but twice.

  • Yes, the US should be denuclearized.

The US should be the first one to denuclearize because the very fact that they have them in their arsenal provokes other countries into making and owning them as well. US is the only country to have ever used them as well. If they speak of peace, then why should they speak with mouth of fangs? And even without the nukes, US still has the most count of weapons per person, they can still defend without nukes.

  • Yes, USA is the one who used it and threatened other if they have it!! Ridiculous!!!

By having and using against Japan the USA threatened the world and created an precedent for nuclear race. Therefore other countries started to develop this technology to be able to contra-balance US threats. Ridiculous, USA tried to stop them as it happened with Iraq, Iran, N. Korea. History proved that USA created more trouble in the world than any other country in last 50 years. They started now to kill innocent children, women, men with drones attacks more than all terrorist acts combined. Therefore USA government is the biggest terrorist organization in the world. Wait for US government to fill up their terrorist list with their name on it!!!

  • Yes. We need to walk the walk.

It is interesting that the United States believes it can go around telling other countries, like Iran, that they cannot have nuclear weapons while we keep nukes ourselves. I understand the need to keep weapons on hand for defense, but at a certain point, no one is going to take you seriously if you violate your own principles.

  • Yes the US Should Be denuclearized

The United States is responsible for unleashing two atomic bombs on the world, so if any country is dangerous with these weapons, it's the US. The entire world should denuclearize and the United States can set a strong example by doing it. There is no reason for any member of humanity to support nuclear weapons.

  • No, the United States should not denuclearize.

As much as I would LOVE for the world to be denuclearized, let's not kid ourselves. We do not live in a utopia where countries will always respect the deeds of another. We live in a world where the prevailing paradigm is realism. One of the basic views of realism is to arm your country to the teeth in the best weapons that you can so that no one will take the risk of attacking you. The only way that the world becomes denuclearized would be through an immensely thorough, world movement. Even then, however, I can almost guarantee you that most of the powerful nations would have a nuke or two hiding underground just in case it was ever needed.

  • If we get rid of our nukes we weaken our defenses

Iran has been trying to build nuke missles for years and are now only a matter of a few years or less from having a nuclear war head and not to mention they can I'm sure figure a way to intergrate something in a vest they are pro's at that. as long as we maintain having nuclear power we can detur Iran from being to fast to strike an attack on us american infidels as they call us

  • No, the United States should keep its nuclear ansenal

The country has had nuclear weapons since 1945 and they have kept us safe all these years. There's an old, but effective, saying that you don't take a knife to a gun fight. Expecting the country to disarm in the face of our enemies who do have nukes is the same as desiring us to roll over for any tinpot dictator who wants his wishes granted.

  • We need nuclear power to remain strong

As an American, i believe that my own country needs to have nuclear weapons in store, not to use, but to have just in case another country uses them. Right now, with Iran building nuclear weapons, it would be very dangerous for America to disarm themselves, as it leaves them open to a threat from communist nations.
