  • Get out of the UN!

The UN hasn't done a thing for the world ever! If they delieve add during a disaster it's American aircraft delievering them with US financing. They've never stopped a war or won one! Such as Korea in 1950. They drain our tax money from us & provide nothing ever, period.

  • It is anti-American and anti-Semitic

The United Nations (UN) contributes absolutely nothing to today's geopolitical order. In no manner does it help bring about international peace and stability. The UN has condemned Israel (the only civilized country in the Middle East) more than any other nation in the world combined while placing Saudi Arabia (the human rights sewer) on its human rights council. The UN has been marred by numerous scandals and instances of corruption. Anti-Americanism is rampant in the UN. America currently bankrolls 22% of the UN's budget; it is time for Congress to defund this odious organization and consign it to the dustbin of history.

  • It is fill with Tyrants and Dictators

DO I really have to go through this? For one China is part of the UN, not to mention Russia and South Africa. Have you seen what the UN had done in places like Africa? If not you should do some research, The UN is just as Corrupt as the US Federal Government and possibly more.

  • Yes, the UN is filled with tyrants and dictators.

Do I really have to explain this? It is common knowledge, come on, it has China. They mandate every country to follow what rules they put in place, this is man made law in which infringes on natural rights. Have you seen what the UN has done in Africa? Do some research.

  • We have our own problems

The problem with the UN as a whole is that we have too many of our politicians and elected officials gaining support from the UN in order to intervene in other nations problems. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, Chief of Staff General Dempsey, and Commander in Chief Barrack Obama believe the support of the United Nations is all they need in order to start a war. This is completely against our constitution. Most of the time the United Nations interventions have not been fruitful. Many would argue the UN is all about control of their adjoined nations as well as gaining control of other nations. As a sovereign nation, If we get our spending under control, we have the ability to protect ourselves from real threats. If everyone just worried about themselves the world would be a better place.

  • Absolutely not

The US can't continue interventionist policies if it defunds or withdraws from the UN. Whatever one's opinion of the entity, the whole idea of the UN draws from the league of nations. There's also the problem that, on the whole, the US's popularity isn't exactly high around the world at the moment - UN support means protecting us from those inside and out of the organization.

  • NO

While I agree that I don't really like the United Nations, and I don't really see why we are in it anyway, to remove our funding from it would send the wrong message.

It would send the message that we're not interested in dialogue with the rest of the world. We also have certain very important seats and roles in the United Nations, and, in a global society like we have these days, those seats are vital to protecting our national interests.

  • Defunding the UN would send the wrong message

While there is a lot of waste at the UN, defunding it entirely would send a message that the US in uninterested in dialog with the rest of the world. I believe that the US should rather use its position within the UN to call for increased transparency and an end to corruption.

  • No! The UN Does Not Look Out for Us

We should not defend the United Nations. The United Nations has its own agenda and they are not interested in the well being of the citizens of the United States. The United Nations should not have any say over how we run our country. The members of the United Nations are concerned about their own countries and not the well being of the world as a whole.
