Should the U.S. government double student loan interest rates?

  • Yes, too many students go to college.

Yes, the United States government should doubt student loan interest rates, because students go to school too quickly today. Students should think twice before making the decision to invest large amounts of time and money in school. Students would have different incentives if the cost of getting an education were higher.

  • Punishing Students is the Wrong Start in Life

Students are the start of society, since children really don't count. They are the ones that will be shouldering the workforce, the ones doing all the real work while the older generations get ready to retire. There's no reason they should be forced to stay in debt longer, and put off house buying longer. It creates an issue where only people in their older ages will ever be able to purchase property, and that's just part of the American Dream.
