I dont want the hands of another human being in my hands so i shouldn't have to pay tax to something i dont agree with but I geuss a women does have a right to her own bodie. And personaly i think that life is gift and we should value it as our own.
Planned Parenthood provides so many services that help women. No matter how against abortion you are, it should be a crime to defund an organization that is doing these things for people. Planned parenthood has provided over 4.5 million people with treatment for STD's, provided contraception to over 3 million people and given pregnancy tests and prenatal services to over 1.1 million women all over. What gives the US Senate the right to take these away from the women that need it?
Have an independent and impartial agency thoroughly investigate Planned Parenthood. Let Americans know EXACTLY what is going on with Planned Parenthood and then fix it! While of late we have heard some really disturbing things concerning PP, I am certain they have done a lot of good over the lifetime of the organization. Witch hunts never turn out good as our history has proven, time and time again.
The Senate should NOT defund Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood not only provides (legal) abortions to women who (legally) have the right to choose when to have a child, but it also provides crucial health care to women who would not otherwise be able to afford it. Planned Parenthood also provides free contraception to prevent these hotly-debated abortions.
I do not believe that would be such a good idea. Instead they should fund it more and further. People should be allowed to choose what they want to do, if a person wants to abort from various reasons then let it abort. Different people have different reasons for doing what they do.
No, the U.S. Senate should not defund Planned Parenthood. The organization has been providing women, especially those in a lower income bracket, access to essential health care such as STI screenings, Pap smears, birth control, and breast exams, for decades. Without Planned Parenthood, many of these women would not have access to these potentially life saving procedures. The heated subject of abortion is at the center of this debate, but it has been shown that Planned Parenthood performs abortions within the guidelines of federal laws and that it constitutes only 3% of the cases the clinics handle. If the Senate defunds the organization, it will be jeopardizing the very positive health services that Planned Parenthood provides to women across the country.
