• Yes, But in the Right Ways

The United States needs to stay away from having troops on the ground anywhere with a large Muslim population. We are entirely too disliked and hated abroad to put our troops into danger like that. However, France is an ally and we should offer our help with logistics, transport, and strategy.

  • Get it right this time

The US has had some pretty obvious mishaps in Mali in the past, this is an opportunity to undo some of the self inflicted damage. It's also an opportunity to weaken the chances of terrorist groups getting a stranglehold on another country, which is a list that we need to be working on shortening at all times.

  • France didn't support us, why should we support them?

France gave limited to no support to the American mission in the middle east and their foreign minister even said the USA was trying to build an empire when we were helping Haiti. We also have to look that historically when we have helped France in the past it gave us Vietnam I think it's about time France fights on their own.

  • No, They Should Not

The United States of America has done enough world policing to last for several decades. With the war in Afghanistan still raging, and the Iraq war a recent memory, the last thing we need to do is to involve ourselves in another global conflict. We need to let the French handle this one on their own.

  • The U.S. Should Stay Out of War

The United States should stay out of any wars for a while. We need to gain back some of the credibility we lost due to the last several wars we started. Mali specifically asked for help from France, so it is understandable that they would want to get involved. However, this does not mean the U.S. needs to get involved as well.
