  • Power is Everything

Power is what controls the world. Without power you become weak, you become the victim, you become the one who is supressed. More power only means more control. You help someone, that shows your powerful and strong enough to hold on and help. Your weakness will be outshined by your power. The only reason why this country is at this stage is because more and more people begin to believe power is wrong. But it is not and therefore, helping countries is what we should do. If they are enemies use your power against them, if your allied with them help them and they will feel grateful to have such a powerful and compelliing country.

  • Of course we do!!

We out of all countries have it all. What else do we need? Better roads to drive our fancy cars? More drones? More billion dollar helicopters? All from out taxes. Yes poor is every where in the US but not like in some countries for gods sake! Yes there's homeless here but it's mostly there fault. Using drugs and not going to school. The parents are to blame. We the people are Equal. We the people pay taxes and we the people should at least have a choice on whether to help other countries. We the people can easily make millions just to help other countries in need. Food, shelter, medications, schools, businesses, laws enforcement etc. But instead we're being selfish. Seriously open your eyes America!Look at the pain and suffering from around the world. Look at india for example what the children and people have to go through. India is the future but poverty is holding them back. We can help the world be a better place for the future but we choose not to. I don't understand how this is happening and us not doing a damn thing. It's a shame. I promise you this America, the worse it is, the worst it will get!!! Consider this a global message. God bless the souls that suffer everyday with no guidance to a better future.

  • Yes, but only in special instances

The United States, like all other countries with the ability, should help other countries in need. This help should only come when asked for, and only in special instances. Ultimately, the United States should see to its own needs first and try to interfere with other countries' affairs as little as possible, but there are always extraordinary cases of disasters and so forth, where helping is necessary.

  • All countries need help.

I feel that all countries may need help at one point. I think that it is wrong to go to a country who refuses help, but the vast majority of them need foreign help. Whether it be for starvation or war, the US should dedicate time to helping other nations.

  • Yes, the US should and can help other countries.

The US is considered the superpower in the world. Therefore, it should use its strength to help those countries that need help. Right now, there are widespread hunger and poverty around the globe. Even what we considered a little help can make a really big difference in those nations that are less fortunate that we are.

Its the best thing for us to do! Everyone looks up to america it would be the only choice for us to do unless we want to look bad and selfish. WE are known for bad things the least we could do is prove the we are not selfish. We cannot be.

  • I am selfish.

We can't help other countries with empty pockets. We need to fix our economy before helping anyone. There are not just people in need in India or Haiti, there are plenty of people in the U.S that are in need as well. Worry about the people in our own country before people in other countries.

  • No.

If the US is "helping" by using force and tax payers money to "promote" democracy it shouldn't. If the US is going to use diplomacy to offer ideas and set a clear example of how a country is supposed to run, of course. For the last 60 years, America has "helped" other countries by bombing them and installing dictators.

  • No America shouldn't help

Indeed it would be nice to be able to help other countries, but America simply cannot afford it. Our US army did not sign up to help other countries, they signed up to defend OUR country and protect it. If we were to go into another country to try and help, then perhaps we would be able to save some lives, but how much good would we be doing if we saved their lives, but lost ours. This doesn't even make sense to me. The US is in around 17 trillion dollars of debt, no way would we be able to afford going into another country and try and help them. Why don't we worry about helping ourselves out first. You say we would look powerful to other countries if we helped? Well yes we would, but we aren't powerful, we're vulnerable. If China wanted to they would own us, they could basically make us their slaves, we aren't strong, money wise. If we were to go help every country whenever they were in war, then what the hell.! Everyone would be asking for help! Everyone would expect us to just come to their rescue and that's not fair for us! How many countries have we helped, that have come back to help us get out of debt? That's right, not one. We have people that are jobless, homeless, an family-less in our country and you're wanting to spend our resources and military to help others? We should be trying to get our people out of debt and helping them before we even think about helping other countries. Who says that these other countries want help? I don't see them knocking on our door ready to help us anytime we need it, at our every whim. Every country on this earth has treaties with another. If we were to barge in and try and fix their problem, when they didn't ask us to, then we would be leaving ourselves vulnerable to war with those other countries. We would be killing our military, just to try and save others lives. That doesn't seem logical to me. If we could go in there and sing a little song around the campfire and make happy happy peace treaties with the country and the people inside, then by golly I'd go for it, but that isn't something that would happen. A man named Chuck Hagel is trying to get the military cut down to around 440,00 to 450,000 from where it is now at around 570,000 people just because we don't have the funds to keep this up. Now with our army dropping in over 100,000 soldiers because we don't have the money, does it make sense to you to go and try to help other countries? No, we simply do not have the money and it is not fair for our soldiers to die to try and save other people, not even in our country. That is all, thank you.

  • No more helping!

The United states should not help aid foreign countries wars because we are wasting our soldiers lives to to help a whole other country! Why would we do that! Other Countries soldiers need to get up and fight! You don't see anyone helping us? Now do you? I think not!

  • No we should not!!!!!

We are already very poor, so we should not be helping others. We are already in debt to other countries, and many of our citizens are in poverty or homeless. Only in extreme cases should we help, but other times we should not, just for our own fine country's sake.

  • No! I don't think that would help here

Our country is in enough trouble at the moment. We can't help others out with nothing to give! Would you give away items you need to live for others who don't want it anyway? I wouldn't. This is upsetting though the government breaking laws for this. It useless and unhelpful

  • No... No... No...😁

I believe we should not help other countries because, there are many people in the U.S that need help also! Many people in the USA don't have jobs, food, family, friends, & homes. Another reason we should not help other countries is, if we help per-say... China, we don't need China becoming a threat to us or any other countries. Get our selves out of deep trouble & debt before digging other countries out!

    GO USA😃

  • The United States should not help other countries.

The United States already has enough problems and they do not need to worry about othe countries. We should spend our tax dollars solving domestic problems rather than wasting them on counties that probably wont be grateful anyway. Foreign aide is a waste of money and we should stop using it.

  • The floppy economic state of america

America is already in a wobbly economic state. The US already owes around 14-15 trillion dollars to China. This debt causes inflation. Not only can we not help others; we cannot help ourselves. Money should be spent pulling people in America out of poverty before pulling other countries out of poverty.
