Should the US government remove Cuba from the terrorism list?

Asked by: heyderpey
  • USA has entered the army of Iran in the list of terrorists!!! Also army of Lebanon!!!

The definition of terrorism in USA deffers from our definition. TERRORISM in USA means NOT doing exactly what American politicians say. USA and Israel have many nuclear bombs and they have even killed thousands of people in Japan. However, Iran is called terrorist.!
Israel fighters kill Palestinians, however, Palestinians are called dangerous!

  • Yes, the government should.

The US government must remove Cuba from the terrorism list. The first reason is that unlike North Korea and Russia, Cuba has never threatened the United States. Has Cubans killed US citizens? No. Just because they prefer communism does not mean they should be treated as terrorism. If communists are terrorists, then the United States is also a terrorist country according to communist countries. So, now, it is time to befriend with Cuba!

  • Cuba is no threat to the United States

Cuba, being the Communist state that used to cause us so much trouble in the 1960's, was put on the terrorist list for pointing nuclear missiles at the USA. Of course, it was reasonable then to put this enemy country on the list as, technically, these nuclear missiles would "terrorize" citizens. However, relations have improved presently with embargoes and communications resuming between the two nations. With no discernible whatsoever that we are aware of so there is no reason for them to be kept on the terror list.

  • There is no valid reason to keep it

Well, the main reason that Cuba was put on the list was the revolutionary and communist-sided movements in 1982 as part of Reagan's foreign policy. But since the collapse of the Soviet Union, there now is no need to keep it on the list as the US government is to build constructive relationships with Cuba with the recent summit. So, removing Cuba from the list will have a great role on dealing better with not only Cuba but also with the other Caribbean countries as the relationships between the two countries start to get better,

  • Not until they have a huge shift in the government!

Over a million or so Cubans at risk of life, attempted escape from a government that, murdered citizens for having a different options than the military ruled government. No, not only don't remove them from the list but seek down the Castro regime and charge every single one of them with crimes against humanity, then and only then should they be removed from that list. Oh the Cuban government really does not like the United states either, just recently the release of Alan Gross who while incarnated for nothing, lost so much weight and was so malnourished that he lost most of his teeth. Furthermore, the Cuban government would only release this man for an agreed release of two Cuban men who were convicted and in us prison for espionage, that was just a few months ago.

  • Concessions to our enemies?

Cuba’s government is an enemy of the United States, and here’s why it should matter to every American.

Cuba’s government opposes American interests at every turn. They are proven state sponsors of terrorism. They are ruled by a dictator – by acknowledging his legitimacy, President Obama has sent a terrible message to the world.

That’s why President Obama’s one-sided concessions to Cuba are flat out dangerous.

Cuba’s economy is controlled by a holding company, that is in turn controlled by their military. Money flowing into Cuba as a result of Obama’s new policies is going straight to their government – a regime that has actively worked against U.S. interests at every turn.

Obama made concessions, with nothing in return – giving Cuba’s government more resources to continue its dangerous actions toward the U.S. and against freedom-loving people throughout the Western Hemisphere.

Cuba has also Americans who escape justice. For example the two cop killers and someone who has committed millions in tax fraud and they have no intentions of giving them back.
