  • Im Not Racist

North Koreans are trouble making monsters (obviously not the millions of innocent people forced to stay) and they hate all other countries apart from China. I feel sorry for the South Koreans for Having to share the same name! I think even if their reckless Kim Jong Un leader won't cause WW3 the USA should keep them under control.

  • We can't do it.

The US is now at $19 billion and ever increasing debt. Another war would send us sailing even further into debt. Plus, although North Korea is an oppressive and aggressive nation, they are still a nation, and we as America who believe in the essential freedoms have no right to establish sovereignty over another nation by force without previous provocation.
Plus they would nuke Hawaii before we could take Pyongyang.
    And I like Hawaii.

  • Wartime is over

We should NOT send troops into North Korea. We have been at war or involved in foreign conflicts for far too long. Another, excursion into foriegn land, much, much better defended foreign land, would be a bad idea. We have missle defense systems in place.. there is no reason to start WW3

  • Something needs to be done to liberate the North Korean people, but only if there is a very good plan in place.

North Korea is a very complicated situation. On one hand, I think something needs to be done to free the North Korean people. However, the U.S. and the rest of the world needs to find a way to do so without killing civilians. Also, the current system of government in North Korea is not good, but simply overthrowing that regime and then letting them fend for themselves is not a good idea, and the U.S. has not had much success in these types of missions in the past (Afghanistan, Iraq). The U.S. needs to work together with other countries (South Korea, China, Japan, European countries) to come up with a specific plan in place for the future government of North Korea. If this doesn't happen, the U.S. should not get involved, because there is a good chance that it will only make things worse.

  • No, sending US troops into North Korea would bring more evil than good.

Being a pacifist, I really don't like what is going on with the World. Can't everyone just live in peace? Is that so hard? Things that we are told that Kim Jong Un does are atrocious, but who knows if that is true? There is evil everywhere, not just there.

  • It's not quite time yet

I think that North Korea still hasn't provided enough evidence that they are capable of the threats that they have made, and so perhaps sending troops in to North Korea wouldn't necessarily be the wisest option, on many grounds. However, I think the threat of sending troops needs to be sent.
