Should the women featured in Girls Gone Wild be compensated for their appearance in the series?

  • At the very least

Getting people drunk and encouraging them to get naked in front of a camera so producers can profit is less than a little ethically dubious. All participants should receive not only compensation but backend for the enormous profits raked in by its creators and distributors instead of living with the hope that their employers, friends, and family will never see the brief mistake they made one drunken night.

  • The women featured in Girls Gone Wild should be compensated for their appearance in the series.

People who are featured in commercial programs should be compensated for their work. Especially women who are featured in pornographic materials deserve to be paid. In the case of the "Girls Gone Wild" series, the people who appear on camera should be offered some monetary incentive for agreeting to the terms of the filming.

  • This is hilarious.

You are telling the producers to pay the chicks at girls gone wild? Are you mad? These women agree to be shown on television the moment their nipples go flying in the air. They want to be wild and free, let them. The chicks don't even mind getting some air time without pay. They are all there for a big party or spring break to get wild. They chose to degrade them selves, and yet royalties should be given? That is ridiculous. Its not porn (a legit occupation), so no cash for them chicks.

  • They Know What They're Getting Into

I think that as long as it is known upfront that no monetary compensation will be given, the girls should not be given any compensation. They know what they're getting into and if they think that it's okay then so be it. I think that the girls in these videos are in them to say, "Hey I did that! Look at me!" I realize that they are probably drunk in these videos. If that is their reasoning they need to slow down enough to know what's going on around them. Or get better friends who will help them out of these situations.

  • Girls Gone Wild women should not be compensated for appearances.

Girls Gone Wild participants should not be compensated for their appearances in the video's because they signed contracts saying that they would not receive any compensation. Contracts are not to be taken lightly and these girls should have taken the time to read them better if they wanted something that was not printed on them. The time for negotiations is before signing ladies.

  • They Signed Their Paper Work

I do not believe the women featured in Girls Gone Wild should be compensated for their appearances unless the discuss that compensation with the producers prior to signing release papers. These women must sign documentation to appear on this series and they must do it knowingly, otherwise this series wouldn't exist. To ask for compensation after the fact is not appropriate.
