  • Yes,there should be year-round schooling.

Yes,there should be year-round schooling. This would allow students to better retain knowledge and teachers be more efficient because they would not have to reteach material.Students could potentially graduate with fewer years and therefore start their college and work careers earlier than if they had a traditional school experience that lasted the entire 12 years.

  • The era of the summer break has passed.

The original reason for long summer breaks stems from a time when America was mostly an agricultural nation, and all hands in the family were needed to work the farm during planting season. That has not been the case for almost a century now. We need to reform into an all year school system to better reflect the realities of modern life.

  • I Support Year Round Schools

I would rather send my child to school on a year-round basis. I prefer the school schedule to extend throughout the year with broken up break periods. I think this works better for families and their schedules. Students also lose a lot of information throughout a summer break and often have to review last years materials at the beginning of each new grade.

  • It would help to better educate our children.

School should be all year long. Schools did not used to have air conditioning and it was hard for children to focus in the summer. Children also used to be needed at home to help their families with the farm. These circumstances are no longer the case. How much of the beginning of the school year is spent reviewing things that had been learned the year before? All year school would help prevent this redundancy.

  • There should be year-round schooling.

There should be year-round schooling. I think there should be year-round schooling with small breaks in between because students would retain a lot more information then they do now. Most children would not like this but this would also help the parents that work throughout the summer without the need for a babysitter. A lot of time in the beginning of the school year is spent on remembering information that they learned the previous year.
