Should trans fats be banned from food production?

  • Yes, trans fats should be banned from foods.

Trans fats have been proved to be particularly unhealthy for consumption. They are so bad that lots of different governments have taken it into there own hands to try and get rid of it or limit it. I think that people are already very unhealthy and could use as much help as possible to try and make foods more healthy.

  • Yes they should

Yes, I think that trans fats should be banned from foods, so that it will help a lot of people out who suffer from obesity in this country. Trans fats are very bad for you, and we do not have to have them in our foods, there are other fats.

  • Trans fats should not be banned from food production.

Although trans fats are bad for human health, they should not be completely banned from food production. Alcohol and tobacco, as well as many other foods that are bad for people's health still remain legal for people to buy. No one wants a nanny state that does not permit adults to consume whatever foods they want.

  • Trans fats cause no more harm than anything else

Trans fats has been a part of food for many years and is not going to change anytime soon. There are many different factors for why food is not always good for people, and removing trans fats won't really help with that. There are much bigger problems from food than just trans fats.

  • No, they shouldn't.

The problem here is bigger than just trans fat. Perhaps the banning of trans fat would help alleviate health problems and the obesity epidemic, but it would not, at all, be a cure all. Portion sizes are also a problem, as are inactive lifestyles. There are too many factors to just ban one thing.
