  • Yes, but only

If they keep it in the "Miscellaneous" or "Entertainment" section. Some of these troll debates are hilarious and a good attraction to this site. But I don't want them in my face when I want to have a serious discussion. The infamous imabench and MassiveDump are IMO doing a good job keeping it balanced and real.

  • As long as they possess some degree of cleverness.

I've seen, of course, troll debates entitled "You Suck", and the entire arguments will consist of one sentence such as "You are a seal". However, debates such as "Poop Has DNA" and "No One has Really Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to Do Look More Like" show the ability to argue rationally and exercise creativity.

    Cue GWL in the comments.

  • Most positively absolutely

Throughout the years on DDO we have seen trolls, but one that is the most notitible and the best at humor on this site. He is the prime example on why trolls should be alloud simply because without trolls we would have no hummor on this site and thus this site would shut down in a few years due to the lack of interest.

  • Troll debates can be highly entertaining.

Some troll debates are both clever and funny and this site would be poorer without them. Furthermore, I don’t see the need to ban any debate unless it is in clear breach of the site’s T&C’s. Those members who object, for whatever reason, to debates of any given genre are not forced to vote, comment or even read those debates if they don’t want to.

  • Trolls will be trolls.

However, if they take it into a serious debate, vote against them! 38 more words needed, and my point is finished.

People suck, they'll continue to suck, trolls will still get in unless this site becomes closed to new members. There's no way to stop it, so why pretend otherwise?

  • Yes, they should.

Troll debates provide another good quality to the great website DDO: humour. Debate.Org is already a great website because the discussions are productive and intellectual to read or take part in. What people like Brian Eggleston or Imabench do is put the icing on the very special cake that is DDO.

  • It's pretty cool

I love troll debates! They're super duper fun and hilarious to read and/or do. Although it is arguable whether not RT's "my opponent will not win this debate" is a troll debate. Eh. Oh well, troll debates are still pretty good, and they add a nice touch to DDO. #Go Trolls!

  • As long as no serious debates get derailed

Troll debates can be entertaining to make and read. They often poke fun at real things or have tons of semantics, but they still should be kept. After all, they do not hurt anyone or cause any damage, emotionally or physically- after all, everyone knows that you were not being serious. That being said, I do not want trolls to accept and derail debates, because that is not pleasant.

  • Yes they are great at times

Troll debates are things that keep people from becoming robots. If we didn't have them we'd be dull and lifeless, besides a good troll debate is good every once in a while it can provide entertainment for how it is. The simple trolling is good because most of the time it is hilarious

  • NO - They just waste space and everyone's time and only appeal to Immature punks.

There should be a kids section at this site where folks like imabench and MassiveDumb can post their immature nonsense and Troll Debates.

Most adults at this site are bored with the childish antics of people like imabench and MassiveDumb.

Maybe in a few years they will grow up and then they can play with adults.

  • It's a waste..

No. It's a waste of space on the website. Some people here are truly trying to have entertaining debates that intellectually aid them, while some nimrods are having dumb debates whether a llama can be fed carrot juice and whatnot. If you really want to have a conversation like that, go on a troll website or something else.
