  • They need us.

The people in Afghanistan fear for their lives just about every day. They cant fight back because they are too weak from how they are treated. Women and children live in the streets and sometimes they dont even eat everyday. With us there, they might have a chance to live.

  • Yes, at least until the ISIS problem is solved

ISIS may invade Afghanistan, so I believe, and no offense President Obama, but this was a highly DUMB idea. Yes, I know 9,800 troops are still there, but ISIS has much more than that. I believe the soldiers stationed there would not be enough to repel an invasion. ISIS has about 90,000 troops, while over there, we only have 9,800. Thank you for your time.

Most people see that what we did in Vietnam was a so called "victory." It the opposite, the man who signed the treaty to move us out of Vietnam looks back and agrees. There is no reason to be proud of what we did, we did not win, we quit. To win you must be in the game. Moving out of Afghanistan will not make us proud it shows that we are weak. We are doing what the terrorists want us to do. We think what they want us to think, They are striking fear into the hearts of those the harass, we are not sheep. We are people and we will protect if we need to.

  • Stay in Afghanistan

If we were to leave Afghanistan, we would no longer have any support near the countries we may have conflicts with, such as Iran, Russia and China. Also, if we left, the President would automatically be overthrown by Taliban since they are much stronger than the current Afghanistan military, then all the time and money we have already spent would go waste. If it wasn't for the US being in Afghanistan in the first place, how would we have even killed Osama Bin Laden.

  • U.S. troops should not stay in Afghanistan.

The Afghan War had been going on for too long. It's time for the troops to come home and for Afghans do determine their own fate. America has already given enough money and soldiers to the cause of Afghan democracy. Also, we have caught bin Laden. There is no reason to stay longer.

  • No win situation

America's vested money, time, and ego keeps us in Afghanistan long after
necessary. No win here. U.S. needs to rethink it's influence abroad; war, hate, killing only fuels hatred towards U.S. Eisenhower was correct about he greedy defense department, their goal is only profit. World powers are pushing their own agendas and will and have the resources to cause tremendous damage to this tiny planet.

  • U.S. Troops should no longer stay in Afghanistan.

We have done what we came to do, the mission is complete and it's time to come home. I understand about "helping rebuild" their country. But, did they help us rebuild what they started years ago. Our U.S. Troops have sacrificed themselves for something that could have been prevented before 9/11. As long as our troops are in this country they will be targeted as the enemy. We need to get them out while we still can. We need to bring them HOM where we can take care of them.

  • U.S. troops need to get out of Afghanistan.

This question is rather outdated, since most of the troops have been removed from Afghanistan already. The war is over, though, a war that should probably have never started to begin with, so it's about time ALL troops are brought back home. America needs to start focusing on itself instead of trying to play the hero with everyone else.

  • U.S. Troops should no longer stay in Afghanistan

U.S. Troops should no longer stay in Afghanistan. Without going too in depth, I feel our time in Afghanistan has come to an end. We have completed most of the original objectives and now we need to let it all go so the country can become dependent on themselves. The more we stay the more we will find that needs to be done and there will never be a perfect time to exit.

I guess after fifteen years of being on the receiving end of whup ass from a bunch of 19th century pipe smoking rag head camel jockeys it can be pretty addictive, Im sure Johnny Taliban has plenty more whup ass where that came from.
