Should Video Gaming/Graphic Design be a new elective for High School?

Asked by: SleepingDeath619
  • Yes video games

There are a lot of weirdos. But kid can design. Video games are very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very cool

  • It's Pursuing a Career in an Area that Interests You

I look at the opposing arguments and will now refute them.
"Online video gaming should never ever be rewarded. There are enough weirdos at high school, even without having their favorite way to pass time as a class. If this was made possible, it would be taking away from learning time, and allowing kids to slack off even more than normal."
Not gaming, designing games. You make the games. Students slack off most in boring classes. The students that would want to take this class probably wouldn't be bored with this subject.

"Graphic design is one thing. Video game design is another. First and foremost it's not profitable to even embark on; outside of the major giants that started that journey a decade and a half ago most indie studios are small, broke, and the artists the same with no name and very little claim to fame producing games almost bi-annually if not more interspersed due to simply being too small.

In High School should you choose a vocation it should be immediately profitable upon graduation or reasonably useful. Video Game Design is none of these. Graphic Design and 3D design, maybe, but not in the gamer's sense."

Statistic: As of April 2014, the gaming industry is bigger than the movie industry. Should AV, theater, and production be banned as well?

  • Yes it should.

Yes, it should because teens that want jobs as graphic designer need to learn about it before getting the job. They also need to have it because almost everybody likes video games. Besides you just learn about video games the first semester then the second semester you design video games.

  • Oh God No:
