  • Absolutely, because all the women in the past fought for better rights and that should be celebrated.

Even though women aren't treated like dogs now we are still underpaid and undervalued in many job positions. Men are still getting more job placements than women and are underappreciated in so many sports. My cousin who is a professional surfer who one the same comp as her brother got paid half as much just because she is female. The government have recently made physics more 'female friendly' aka easier, for the ATAR when there are literally no studies for men being better at physics than women. I believe that we should keep fighting for womens' rights because it will be a long time until they are met.

  • I think yes .

First of all every day is a womans day and we all(man) must do everything for tham , It is necessary to be attuned , and we must do our maximum to improve the women's condition , so yes this day is importan , we can gift tham flowers this day will be fantastic , this day means much more second of all i thinks that man always care of for him woman , this is a world idea , finally women and men are the same well, international Women's Day wouldn't exist. It is simply as that.

  • Isn't it saying that women are not equal?

Let's be clear on my idea, I am proud of all the work that our olders have done. And I still do think that in many countries, we are not equal.
I am sure that this day, the International Women Day's, shows that we are not equal. Indeed, if we were equal, if it was obvious that women and men are the same well, international Women's Day wouldn't exist. It is simply as that.

  • Yes of course

I think everyday is the day of women , The women have their places in the society and a one day is not enough , they deserve more . Today women are under-estimed , The men thinks that this day is like the valentine's day , they , offers flowers to their wives but this day means much more.

  • To remind people

For me, a women's day is important. That provides people, specially men, that the issue about the différences between women and men still an actual problem. On this day women and men have to act together to can resolve it.
Instead of words and gifts that men give to women on this day, they must to act. That would be the best gift instead of flowers.

  • After all , why not ?

We have a grandmother's day , a grandfather's day , a men's day , why shouldn't we have a women's day ? To have a precise day to celebrate something special is a pretty good think in my opjnion , it's an occasion to remember how womens have changed the world and how much they are important.

  • Sex is irrelevant

If there is something amazing about the struggle for female suffrage and rights, something brave and wonderful about your grandmother, or something admirable in a wife... Celebrate those good qualities. The gender of the person who has them is irrelevant. The tactics used to win female suffrage can be used to win human rights for other groups. Mutual respect and equality are the kinds of things this day should be about. Not vaginas.

  • Patronising and divisive

One day of giving women token flowers and wishing them a happy women's day is as patronising as it is pointless. This day does women no favours and serves only to put them even more firmly in their box. The sad thing for me is to see those same women who fell for the insulting FIfty Shades of Grey, brainwashed into gracious acceptance of the crumbs of token flowers and "happy women's day" greetings.

  • Where is Mens day?

Feminism is about equality, not special treatment, a whole day dedicated to women because they were treated unfairly? What about Jewish day, Muslim day, gay day? Doesn't add up... Double standards imo!
Having a woman's day further highlights the fact that feminism has gone too far in the wrong direction!

  • Women need EQUAL treatment everyday rather then celebrating one day for being women.

I feel when woman are equal to man , then why to celebrate the special day, woman should not be given any special treatment . They deserve EQUAL treatment as given to men. Making this day specially for woman already points towards gender inequality.
When we Don't celebrate men's day , why to celebrate Women's day

  • Because women are sluts , women are sluts , women are sluts , women are sluts

They just use men for cash and gifts , dont care for us men but want us to treat them like princesses. Women are all born sluts and will fuck any man for money and freebies LMAO. There are already so many privileges and laws to protect women but NONE for men and YET THESE WHORES WANT MORE! This just tells you how awful women are and so they dont deserve a day dedicated to their stupidity and slut nature.

  • On this occasion, people talk about gender discrimination. Are we not supporting directly to that by celebrating saying "Women's Day"???

There are girls, still sitting at home, helping mother and not going to School, there are girls, who are facing problems with the nasty behaviour young boys on the streets, there are women who are even suffering with dowry issues, there are women still suffering with sexual harassment which they can't even share with any one, there are girls and women on the roads, homeless, begging and starving for food... With all such difficulties faced by women in our country (India), still we are talking about 8th March.

Still parents say that they see a lot of things happening around, especially women/girls are harassed by the boys. They read such news in paper and see them in news channel, and you know immediately they start worrying and show concern towards their daughters and say "Beta, be careful". Instead of worrying, if parents say "Beta be brave and let us not give chance to others to do such things and be bold and can also motivate and give encouragement to the girls, if such things happen, can be very strong to answer with bold attitude.

Always and everywhere this gender discrimination irritates by saying 33% reservation for women in Bus, women's quota, relaxation in paying tax for women, women special services. Let us be bold and say we want equal percentage of allotment in buses and moreover let us also drive the buses, Equal % of quota in reservations, why to have relaxation in tax...??? Let us not stop ourselves to earn just 3 or 4 lakhs per annum, let's work hard and earn 3 crores of rupees per annum and pay the full calculated tax. Let us not invite special services for women ... Let us say special services for PEOPLE, where men and women avail all facilities or services equally.

So friends, if we go on talking about this issue, we can write number of pages. Let us say it is People's Day instead of only Women's Day. Every day is women's day.

  • NO! Just NO

JUST WHY??? Why are they so deserving to waste a whole day? Men must get a Celebration Day too then. Women are not godlike and dont deserve more than men. This day is just stupid. Second worst "celebration" after Valentines day. Why, just why??? Humanity in decline. I am a woman.

  • Women need equality not a day

Men are unique intelligent beings , able in maintaining supremecy over every thing, including woman. By celebrating a day and getting to suppress women whole year seems a fair deal to men. Women need to fight men but before that they have to win their own kind. Women are the worst enemies of women.
