  • Replace It Then

One in the no column says it would just get replaced. I say GOOD. Replace it with a fully public run bank rather than this privately run organization. Make it accountable to Congress. We do need a central bank but the Fed is screwed up and we need a new central bank.

  • Fed gets away with robbery.

The feds are in the business with the banks and credit card company to ripping off people with all their fees, they turn their heads another way because they have their hooks in all these highway robbery fees, it is so unfair that the banks use our money while it's in their and we don't charge them but if you overdraft, it's $36.00 plus you they get their money back, and the credit card company they don't want you to pay on time just so they could charge those fees. And there is nothing you can do about it, so they get away with robbery.

  • I say, Yea! We should end the Fed.

The Federal Reserve is a private central bank that began back in 1913 as a way to stabilize the economy, control the circulation of money, and supervise, regulate banks, as well as lending money to banks. In my opinion, the Fed is nothing but a scam, they are as federal as Federal Express or FedEx. The Federal Reserve subsidizes weak banks, has a disruptive monetary policy, bails out Wall Street investment houses, and among other things that harm economic progress. Plus the Fed is not government controlled and has never been audited, pretty much it is unconstitutional. I hope that this centralized banking cartel ceases to exist before the dollar becomes nothing but toilet paper.

  • The Fed is an Important Part of the Economic Infrastructure

Without a central bank checking would not work. You would not be able to have a bank on the East Coast where you live and be able to travel to the West Coast and write a check. Even the debit card system we now have requires a central authority in order to work. If we removed the Federal Reserve we'd replace it in a few years just like we did with the First and Second Bank of the United States. It's a necessary part of our banking system

  • No, but it should be cut severely

The Fed does need to exist, as much as I hate to say it. They are responsible for the military, making sure there is a national currency, and to regulate interstate commerce. However, they should be limited to this, the amount of power the Fed has right now is ridiculous and they are very corrupt as well.
