Should we Euthanize those that will not or cannot take care of themselves?

  • It would be a disservice to the individual that is suffering and is an unnecessary burden on the health system.

    Throughout history we the quality of life for humanity as a whole has greatly improved. Our healthcare has allowed those that are ailed or disabled in some way to continue to support themselves and allow a close to normal quality of life. Is it fair that we then choose to let those that cannot "live" to be a burden on the health system and their caretakers.

  • If any group deserves to be euthanized....

    If any group deserves to be euthanized it is those that consume and support propaganda that is destroying the planet and is a threat to all life on the planet. Also, these same people are brain washed into propagating eugenics against people who choose not to be part of "normal society."

  • This is unethical.

    In the medical field a patient has the right to make his or her own decisions until they have legally signed their rights and decision making over to another person or if they are in a state where they are not able to make decisions at all. Until this point a patient who cannot or someone who isn't willing to take care of themselves is given a right to make this decision. If that's how they'd like to proceed they could go on with it, but they should be given a choice. Not forced into death because people assume their quality of life. If they aren't willing to take care of themselves there should be other options given. This shouldn't be a first and last resort. When we assume someones quality of life and take measures this far people become afraid of hospitals and don't realize their options. This is when things get to the point of people avoiding the hospital when they have issues. Either way we shouldn't euthanize patients.

  • They have the right to life.

    We can't arbitrarily take away someone's rights away if they haven't done anything worthy of that (like murder or terrorism, and even then the amount of rights taken away is limited.)
    Let me ask you this: would you be willing to kill orphaned babies? Would you kill wheelchair-bound people? Would you kill blind or deaf people? Would you kill homeless people? Would you kill poor people?
    How far are you willing to go?
    If you can't see how stupid this is, I feel sorry for you.

  • Absolutely not, you want to kill somebody because you are assuming their quality of life.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. -Declaration of independence.

    All men are created equal, don't kill one and keep another alive because of a disabillity. Undenaible rights, LIFE, LIBERTY, And pursuit of happiness. You are removing all of those if you kill them. Mr.Jefferson wouldn't be happy.
