  • Yes, we should.

Theft in Islam: Those who stealthily steal what equals to one-hundred and thirty-eight dollars or more, have the goods asked back for twice but refuse, and are not poor, have absolutely no reason to steal other than greed. And should have their hand cut off. Imagine a big time corporate guy having his hand cut off for stealing millions of dollars from innocent people.

Murder in Islam: Those who murder another human being should seek the forgiveness of the family and pay the family a some, and be whipped, and should the family wish it, killed. Islam gives the choice to the grieving family to kill the assailant.

Rape in Islam: Those who force a person to have sex with them should pay a sum to the woman, and be whipped or killed.

There are actual reasons and rules to Shari'ah that many people do not understand, and only take their information from Islamaphobes, most of which are lies.

You say this is barbaric? I say this is justice. People are becoming cowardly, afraid to deal out or take the real punishments, and think jailing people with cable television and have what I would call dorms is punishment, yeah right.

  • The world already follows most of the Sharia Law.

Look at the United States. When the Constitution was being written, the contributions from Thomas Jefferson were inspired by the Qur'an in many cases. The Sharia Law first, is based off the teachings of the Qur'an, and the practices of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw), who is the founder of Islam.

Looking at TJ, he had his own copy of the Qur'an, it is still preserved in a historical library, his own notes are written inside the copy. Many of his understandings came from the Qur'an, which Muslims claim to be the natural understanding of mankind to begin with.

Many countries are already following most of the Sharia Law, if a country accepts this law structure, there will not be much notable difference.

Also, there are many misconceptions about Sharia Law, people claim it is a violent and ruthless law system, this is actually based off of false information and rumors. The Sharia Law has governed countless nations and kingdoms in the past WITHOUT any alterations.

However, many so called Islamic countries are deliberately changing the original Sharia and making their OWN versions, this is against Islam first hand, so modern middle-eastern and south-eastern countries are politically corrupted, they want power, and they are willing to change their own core law system, and religious teachings, to accomplish this goal.

Sharia cannot be forced against anyone, it is something that must be voted, and it doesn't make a difference whether Sharia law becomes an accepted law or not, because many laws today already follow the Sharia accordingly.

  • Yes, solution for all problems.

The reality is there is no place in this world where there fully 100% implemented sharia law. That's why those who judge its application from the countries, which partially implemented it is wrong idea. The sharia law is perfect for correcting any negative aspect of society. Some time hard steps need to be taken to clear or clean some bad aspect of social life. For those who are addicted to those corruptions, would have opposition for this system. For which sharia law is strict.

  • Yes of course...

I would like to give an example regarding the fact that Sharia must be evaluated as a whole. In Islam, interest is haram, forbidden. It is necessary to consider the verse about interest together with the following verse, “The believers are nothing else than brothers”. Then, the following truth will be manifest: “When a believer lends money to his brother who is in urgent need and who asks to borrow money from him, he cannot demand to take it back with some extra amount. It is not compatible with brotherhood.”
In a society where Islamic brotherhood has weakened, where a person tries to deceive his own brother and where the property of the state is plundered mercilessly, if the prohibition of interest cannot be applied, it is the fault of the corrupt structure, not the fault of the drug or food.
However, social rules, especially judgments regarding the management of the state are present in perfect form in Islam, which is the perfect and last religion.

  • It has worked in the past and works today. IT IS A COMPLETE WAY OF LIVING. It is JUST and creates a SAFE environment.

Islam has the answer for ALL of today's problems. Sharia is the way, the path and how to live Islam and be a Muslim. The Sharia is found in the Quran, which is God's final word, and the Sunnah, which is they sayings, actions, practices habits and such of the Last Prophet of God Muhammad Peace be Upon Him, which is also revealed from God.

The Sharia is just and fair and includes ALL ASPECTS of LIFE not JUST LAW. It includes RESPECTING PARENTS and ELDERS, FEEDING the POOR, CARING for your NEIGHBOUR, BEING a GOOD SPOUSE, LOOKING AFTER the ORPHANS. NOT STEALING, NOT BACKBITING OR LYING, BE CLEAN AND PURE. NO RACISM. NO ALCOHOL , which by the way is MOTHER of ALL EVILS, NO GAMBLING, BE JUST AND FAIR.DON'T CHEAT, and much more. How can these be BAD? ISN'T this what we NEED?

The Sharia does have LAW and PUNISHMENT. What MANY people do NOT UNDERSTAND is that it is all done in a COURT and if there is FIRM EVIDENCE and the DECISION of the JUDGE AND/OR RULER. They think it is BARBARIC when it is NOT. IT is more to DETER the people from DOING it AND DEATH PENALTY IS ONLY CARRIED OUT WHEN IT IS CERTAIN THE CRIME HAS BEEN DONE WITH STRONG EVIDENCE AND IS NOT SOMETHING LIGHT as LIFE IS PRECIOUS IN ISLAM.

The Death Penalty is given for murder ONLY if the family of the victim wants so or else blood money is given. Adultery is punishable by stoning to death which may seem harsh but is more of a DETERRENT and is to STOP marriages FAILING and it also STOPS the spread of STD's, why would someone SUPPORT ADULTERY? It is IMMORAL, that is why it is given SUCH a HARSH punishment. Also it can ONLY be carried out if it is SEEN by FOUR men and MUST have witnessed ACTUAL PENETRATION, which is of course VERY STRICT TO PROVE and IF they LIE then THEY are to be Punished LYING and bringing forth SUCH AN ACCUSATION AGAINST THE CHASTE and their TESTIMONY is NEVER ACCEPTED, also the ADULTERER can confess four times. Can't you see the strictness of this issue?

Causing mischief (Kidnapping and raping, Robbery, Aggression of people's life, wealth or honor, Cutting of routes, Scaring people by putting them at knife and gun-point.) is a VERY SERIOUS CRIME in ISLAM which CAN be punished by death but it is up to the JUDGE,the criminal can be EXILED for a YEAR or be Executed. These HARSH Punishments are ONLY so WE can live in SAFE and SECURE.

Theft is punished by cutting of the hand BUT ONLY if it is stolen in PRIVATE and if it something WORTH something and it MUST have been witnessed by TWO people or the thief confessing twice. Also only if the owner ASKS for it back.

There are more, please inbox me if you would like to know more about the just Shariah.

  • Indeed of course we should

A relationship between Religion and State where the people receive justice which is done for the people rather than the American Government where racial minorities find it harder to get justice and decisions are made for Corporations and for more 'funding and donations' Yes I think Sharia Law is better and more 'Democratic' and for the people.

  • Think about this

Because of the prevalence of Christianity in society for a prolonged period of time, the morals of the religion have had a spill over effect onto people in European/Western states. Therefore, countries that operate as an oligarchy are considered outdated and morally wrong because we attempt to compare the two religions, when historically Chrisitianity has killed 13 times more people than Muslims have which objects against the claims of those who oppose the Muslim faith. From the perspective of a middle class white person, if western society were founded on the basis of Sharia law for a prolonged period of time, it would eventually be considered as the foundation of social norms and morals and people in the West would conform to Sharia law and if Eastern countries followed Chrisitanity, everybody would object the same way but in the contrary. That's because everybody would accept that this is how life has been for thousands of years so why should it change, also people would be unwilling to give up power nevertheless as exemplified in western society. And to anyone who says that Sharia law hates women, do you live in the West? Why do feminists exist? Because they're oppressed. The whole argument is based on the fundamental values and the longevity of the specific religion in society

  • Yes and No.

Honestly, If I truly had to choose, I would have a modified version of Sharia Law. Mainly the parts I would remove is all the sections pertaining to Muslims being more important/worth more than non Muslims. It should be fair to all not just fair to a few. These are my thoughts on Sharia Law.

  • Says in the Qur'an :)

It is stated in the Qur'an with reason, so we must believe it as Muslims.
For those searching for them, then Look in 5:32 and 5:38 (Surah Maidah/The Table Spread). If it were implemented, people would think twice before stealing something. If you check out the links, Muslim's will find the proof they need that atleast two of the aspects in Sharia are correct!

  • The United States of America is not built upon any religion, and should never be controlled by one.

If you would like to kindly go back to the Founding Fathers, most of them were Deists, Freethinkers and Agnostics. John Adams wrote in the Treaty of Tripoli "The United States is in no sense founded upon the Christian Religion" and Thomas Jefferson is quoted as saying "Christianity is the most perverse religion to ever befall man." These were the days before Islam was well known, and now Islam is considered the most perverse religion by most civilizations for the way it treats women, its Jihads, its blatant disregard for science and human life and most of all for its revolting system of education in its schools. If we EVER initiated Sharia Law in the United States, it would most likely be under the power of Christianity, which would turn us into a Dark Age of Christianity state. Science would die, education would plummet, the economy would collapse entirely and the United States would die.

  • The first amendment

    ...STATES:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof... It clearly prevents the endorsement or the persecution of any one religion over another. To allow Sharia Law, or any Theocracy whether it be Christian, LDS, Catholic, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Flying Spaghetti Monster, Tetragrammaton, or Ancient Alien (Xenu from Scientology or Elohim of Kolob from Mormonism)

  • No. Because Sharia law is harmful.

No. I learned everything I need to know about "Sharia Law" when I saw a woman beat to death for being raped. Constitution makes it clear. I can think of no case where something as draconian and outdated as old superstitious desert tradition could serve any good purpose in today's world.

  • WTF Hell NO!

Hell no? Does anybody know that this will be the end of the USA if we have this? Women will be murdered for being raped? A man can abuse his wife without penalty??? What is this? America is freedom. Freedom of speaking, learning, religion..Etc. I will be killed because I don't believe in there god? Really...Give me a break. You need help if you think this will help anybody...

  • Sharia Law is Incompatible with Democracy

Sharia law is not compatible with a Democratic society, it has too many impositions that make it incompatible. Take for instance the subjugation of woman and the extreme measures that it presents regarding Homosexual people. I think if people want Sharia law they should go and live in a society where there Religion dictates ther lives.

  • Sharia Law? No.

Discrimination is major factor in sharia law ideas and practices. Muslims are seen as superior to any other religions as it is based on the Koran. Women are seen as less worthy that men in everyday and are therefore treated with disrespect. This system may work for Islamic countries were the Koran is seen as the way to live by, but Britain is a more multi-cultural society that should not be taught to live by the teachings of God in a single religion.

  • Sharia Law is not ours

We have our own laws, which are not compatible with Sharia. Moreover, people who move to these western countries must respect our laws, it is our country by accepting the laws it also becomes your country. However if you bring your laws to turn our shared country into another we will not accept this.

  • Way too extreme

Every single law is pretty much followed up by a horrific, gory punishment, either usually death or whipping. I think that if this law was introduced into the UK, people would be horrified, and although it is a lot stricter and in some ways probably more effective, violence is no the right way to do it. Therefore, I think shariah law is a definite no and should certainly not be introduced into America or Britain.

  • Egregious punishments & violations against humans, including murder

HONOR KILLINGS: A man is allowed to murder his wife and/or children + others if they "embarrass" him. Ludicrous, outrageous, inhumane punishment. A man is allowed to beat his wife. The punishment for stealing is to cut off the thief's hand or hands. A woman is beaten and/or killed if she is a rape victim.

  • Are we crazy?

No religion, whether it be Islam, Christianity, Judaism, etc, belongs in our laws, and should not influence our laws either. We have freedom of religion, which means the government cannot force its citizens to follow any religious teachings, for the sake of following religion (what I mean is, despite murder being illegal in the US, as well as in most every religion, the government outlaws murder for reasons other than religious). Furthermore, in many cases (many, not all), Islam is one of the more violent, intolerant and discriminatory religions, especially towards women. Go to the Middle Eastern theocracies and see for yourself. This is not the insane ramblings of a Christian. I'll admit Christians have been some of the most violent people in history. But Islam is not a perfect religon, and in every Nation I know of that follows Sharia Law, it is nothing more than a third world nation, where women are mistreated, violence is rampant, and most everyone is poor and horribley off, with no hope for anything better. So no, Sharia Law has no place in our law books, just as the Bible does not, and the Tora does not.

Violence in the justice system does not appear to be the most productive manner in which to run a civilized society.
