Yes, we should increase the budget allocation for the educational sector in the government, Education is of the utmost importance for if United States children are not properly educated, they will fall behind children in the rest of the world and will soon find themselves unprepared to deal with a global marketplace.
Since approximately 1973, per pupil spending on educating a child from kindergarten through high school in the United States has risen somewhere around the order of 300%, or 3 times, in inflation-adjusted dollars. Over that same period of time, test scores have remained essentially flat. In other words, tripling the amount of money spent per student has had absolutely no affect on test scores. Stop wasting money.
