Should we stop restricting movies and video games?

  • I think we should

Why are we taking responsibility of the parents duty? If the parent cares about the kid they for sure wouldn't buy the kid the movie or video game. And if the child gets the movie/video game without the parent knowing then the parent hasn't set limits for the child. Secondly, it the parents choice if they would like there child to get it cause parents owe the money the decide what to spend it on so they have control over what's being purchased so we shouldn't interfere. Thirdly, setting restrictions is going to bring up a loss in the economy. Video games annual rate in economy is 11.4 percent since 2007. So, restrictions should end soon !!!

  • It's not only games -

The restriction of video games would cause a variety of problems with "restriction", such as selling tobacco. Saying yes to the restriction of movies/video games signifies that obviously, no matter what age, people under the legal age to watch/play something still happens. This is the same with tobacco, people who illegally smoke tobacco under the legal age limit get other people to buy their tobacco for them. Stopping the restriction of video games would cause other people to riot against this and argue that "Everything should stop being restricted". I stick with a no to this debate.

  • Some games shouldn't be available to all ages

For example COD is very innaptropriate and could make many children think that it is okay to shoot people and assassinate and explode things. I don't like that there are killers in the world and they probably got their ideas of playing stuff like COD or GTA. Games should be restricted to under 10s.
