  • Rating system for video games or movies is ok

The rating system for movies and video games should still be kept in place regardless of what opinion one may have. It is a good system that allows consumers to see what is in the movie or video game before purchasing it. For example, it allows parents to see whether or not a video game is suitable for their child.

  • Do you really want your 10yr old playing these games?

No I don't think the age restriction should be stopped on video games. Some of these games contain sexual graphic, violence and weapons. Would you really like your 10yr old kid to purchase one of these games in a store? I don't think these games set good examples to even an 18 year old. There have been real life crimes committed which were brought on by the content in these games. Some people who play these games become infatuated with the virtual world. These people begin to forget that there is a separation between reality and fantasy. Just like a porn addict, a person may develop an unhealthy attitude when they play these games. They think that what goes on in the games can happen in real life - and that they can become the characters in the games. I'm not saying EVERYone gets like this but it has been known to occur. Also it's just the stark fact that these games consist of some very unpleasant material. What normal parent would want their children to view that sort of content?
