Should western allies have labeled the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) a terrorist organization during the Kosovo War?

  • Western Allies Labeled

I personally think that the Western allies should have been labeled the Kosovo Liberation Army terrorist organization during the Kosovo War because at the time the Kosovo War was taken place. I personally think that the Western allies should have been labeled the Kosovo Liberation Army terrorist organization because during that Kosovo War the organization had occurred.

  • Yes they should

Yes, I think that the western allies should have labeled and treated this liberation army as a terrorist group. They needed to have something done to stop their radical actions, and the United States should have stepped in and put and end to all of the trouble that they caused.

  • They wanted change through force.

Yes, the western allies should have labeled the Kosovo Liberation Army a terrorist organization during the Kosovo War, because the Kosovo Liberation Army wanted to impose its way of life and its government using force. The KLA committed numerous acts of terrorism, and they tried to impose their goals using fear. They were terrorists by the definition of terrorism.

  • They definitely are

The Kosovo Liberation Army definitely was on the 'right side of history' in terms of their side in the struggle, but that does not absolve them from their actions at the time. The KLA committed atrocities during the struggle; not on the same level as the Yugoslavian army, of course, but still there.

  • Western Allies should not have labeled them a terrorist organization.

The problem with labeling organizations as terrorists is that it can be applied to almost any group that goes out and committs mass murders. That goes for any country's military or police force as well. I think these words have to be used widely, especially in a circumstance like this.
