  • Absolutely! Draft registration should absolutely be a requirement for all Americans, regardless of gender!

Yes, we're all regaled with the belief that men are raised to be the protectors and providers but nowadays it's starting to no longer be the case. We're all Americans and the burden of providing for the common defense is a burden to be shouldered by ALL Americans, no matter if they're male or female. By excluding women from the draft we are overlooking a potentially untapped resource of talent and skill, and in these pitiful times where terrorism and geopolitical chess games are the order of the day, our armed services need every available fighter that they can get. Perhaps women will be more self-confident and less prone to the traditional domestic relegation and sequestering that plagues our society even today if all that were beaten out of them in boot camp.

  • Strongest example of sexual discrimination in this country by women...

When women privilege themselves by blatantly ignoring the fact that men are being required to do this and they are not is a perfect example of the hypocrisy of feminist and women. They should all insist on the same requirement and stand up for equal rights.
Guess it just shows they are not interested in anything that doesn't favor themselves. Pretty sad women will not stand up for equality..

  • Women should be required for the draft.

Woman are equal to men. They pay the same taxes, they work the same jobs, and etc. Why should they be excluded from defending their country? They work just as hard as men, but their talents are demoted. So basically, women are just as tough as men, and they have the right to serve in the armed forces.

  • Not allowing women to participate in the draft is blatant sexism

For years women have been unable to register for the military draft. This is a sexist attitude that prevents women from being able to participate in one of the most important ways to support the United States. I believe that it is high time to require women to register for the draft so that gender equality can extend to the Armed Forces.

  • Women should be required to register for the draft

I am a strong believer in equal rights. To me, with equal rights comes equal responsibility. Women are just as capable to serve in the military and defend the United States. For this reason, I think they should also be required to register for the draft and be selected to defend the country.

  • Yes, women should be required to register for the draft

Yes, women should be required to register for the draft. Women have fought for equal rights. Furthermore, women are just as capable of using weapons as men. Women can be helpful during wartime in the same way that men are. War should be avoided at all costs for both sexes, but women should be required to register for the draft.

  • Absolutely they should

Absolutely. Equality is equality after all. You cannot have the liberation you so crave while still being shielded by the protective traditions of a time long ago. Sign up and get ready to line up to be cannon fodder, ladies. Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it.

  • Nobody should be required

Nobody should be drafted to fight in a war. War is bad and only brings death and destruction to all. War is stupid and drafts are wrong. People shouldn't be forced to do anything. Fighting is not a solution to any problem, ever. The army should be made of volunteers.

"Should women be required to register for the draft?"
Before you start an argument you should realize there is a HUGE difference between the draft and Selective Service. Men (maybe in the future women) between the ages of 18-25 are required to register for Selective Service, no one registers for a draft. There has not been a draft in the US since 1973, while Selective Service continues to register men between 18-25. You can't register for something that has been non existent for decades now.
