  • Yes...Is it hurting you?

Seriously, getting a tattoo and piercing is not going to kill you, i like them. All you people who said No, are just stupid there is nothing wrong with it. Its not hurting you or touching you, stop judging people because they have some or many. And its NOT A SIN!!!! Jesus had one, a lot of people say its nasty or Jesus would be ashamed. Shut up!!! What i do to my body is my decision. Not yours, parents or Jesus, IT's MINE!!! Deal with it.

  • Yeah you should

Tattoos and piecing aren't just about putting pictures on your body or putting holes all over, its about the care you put into it, me and my best friend got belly button piercings because we knew that we would be friends for ever so we know that those piercing are worth something and it goes the same for tattoos. They all have some meaning to them no matter what it is.

  • I love them

I have plenty of piercings and soon to be plenty of tattoos. They enable a way other than clothing and music for people to express them selves and they are becoming more and more accepted in our cultures. Body modifications are an art form and no other person has the right to discriminate against them just because they don't like them.

  • The only person that will possibly get hurt is the person who gets them

First, you have to make sure that there are no perilous risks getting some, and that you can take care of them.

But other than that, no one is doing anything wrong by doing what they want with their body. It's THEIR body, not ours.

Why do almost all professionals STILL won't hire someone just because they have tattoos or piercings? Professionalism is not in the looks-it is in their actions and personality. Yes, getting tattoos and piercings are an action, but we should do whatever we want with our bodies. What happened to "Don't judge a book by its cover."?

Besides, we should express ourselves. If you personally do not like them, then that's fine. That's your taste. But that doesn't make it right to take away their rights to have their taste just because you don't like it. I don't like mashed potatoes. Does that mean I judge people for liking them? No. We all have our own tastes, and we should have the right to do what we want. We are not hurting anybody.

  • We should get piercings

I'm not sure about tattoos, because they last forever (unless you want to go through the painful process of having it removed), are painful, and can irritate your skin or become infected. Piercings can too, but with better, easier care it's far less likely. Piercings can be taken in and out after a certain amount of time (right after getting pierced), and they look really good. With tattoos, you might change your mind and be stuck with it forever, where if you want to go to work or somewhere where piercings aren't appropriate, you have the option to take it out (providing you can without it closing up or getting infected, again that waiting period right after you get it).

  • No, you should not get tattoos and piercings.

Tattoos and piercings provide no health benefit whatsoever. In fact a dirty needle can transmit certain diseases to you. Once you are older tattoos in the wrong places can cost you a lot of money as people don't want to hire you if you have a ton of tattoos or piercings.

  • Locks in identity.

The human identity is not something rigid , rather it exists in a plastic continuum, ever-evolving based on the various individual experiences we each have. Tattoos coerce the individual to stay in a singular modality of thought. This is all given that the tattoo is of course permanent; however even without that given there is still a major impact. Individual's will be disinclined from removal in the fear of judgement from others.

  • It's a sin

    1 Corinthians 6:19-20 [Full Chapter]
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

We should treat our bodies like temples of the Holy Spirit and not deface them. What happens if the person doing your tattoo screws up or you get a tattoo because it's the new 'trend'. But what if that trend is no longer 'cool'. We are a judging society there is no denying. So yes we will judge people if they have tattoos, it's in our human nature. Don't put your career life at risk for a tattoo. If you're getting a tattoo because you want to become 'original' well look around you, a lot of people have tattoos. Maybe you might be more original being a 'blank canvas.'
