I believe that zoos are perfectly humane as long as they attempt to uphold the animals needs just as they would be upheld in the wild. If an animal hunts and eats animals in the wild why not let it do the same in a zoo. I think that carnivores should be fed animals close to the animals that it naturally would hunt and eat.
Feeding animals in zoo's live animals is okay this is because its part of thier nature. If they are tapped in a 'cage' all day and not from thier birth habbiat then its only fair that they still keep some of thier wildness. By this i mean feeding i live animals so it can still feel like its hunting its food, which is what it would do in the wild
Carnivores need to eat animals. For this reason, zoos must feed them live animals that they like to eat. Otherwise an animal might die. Carnivores need to eat animals. For this reason, zoos must feed them live animals that they like to eat. Otherwise an animal might die. A a
It would provide a more life-like experience for the animal and the viewers. If it is ok to capture an animal from its home purely for people's Sunday enjoyment, then those people can sit there and watch what really happens in the wild. I think that would make people think about what they're really supporting by buying a zoo ticket.
The natural world is not a benign environment. Natural selection has and does occur to complete niches in nature. To avoid disturbing the sensibilities of sensitive people maybe zoos should not exist but zoos do provide a benignity in allowing humans to better understand our world and to improve awareness of life in general.
Remember when the Romans used to feed Christians to the Romans? Well zoos should do the same thing. And this time, there is many more Christians, so it will be much easier to get them. Plus, it will help the endangered species because they will get more crowds, and more money for captive breeding programs.
