Single-payer universal health care: Is free health care important for those in dire need?

  • Yes,a single-payer universal health care would help the poor.

Those in dire need of health care would definitely benefit from a single payer health care system. That way the quality of health care would not be dependent on the paycheck of the person seeking care.No matter how little somebody made they could at least get a certain level of care that they might not otherwise get.

  • Yes, those in dire need especially need reduced cost or free health care.

People with dire health needs often need care that could be very expensive. This is especially bad considering that those with greater health problems tend to be less wealthy, as the rich can afford to get more regular health check-ups and treatments. Making health care free for those who critically need it is moral.
