Yes, they do Boys and girls distract each other from studies, no question, but the interaction is also needed for healthy development. You cannot just separate the two genders from one another during developing years and still expect them to interact well after the grade school years. The distraction is undeniable but it isn't an advocating point for same-sex schools.

  • If you say yes, you're stupid. :)

Young children will be distracted by each other when they are raping each other in a van behind a Taco Bell. Your stupid child has better stuff to worry about than the opposite sex's shoulders. GET RAPED IN A DAMN VAN YOU STUPID CHILD. So, children do not get distracted by each other. :)

  • Yes but no

Of course boys and girls sometimes distract each other. Life is full of distractions and handling distractions is a life skill that people need to learn NOT something to shelter our kids from. Besides what about the gay and bisexual students?

Furthermore single-sex schools tend to stereotype based on gender and focus resources away from untraditional classes. Girls get less encouragement to excel at math and science. Boys get less encouragement in arts and language.
