The teenagers that killed a Polish man should be tried as adults. This is a serious crime that should not be taken lightly. If tried as juveniles the teenagers will only receive a slap on the wrist for their actions. Once their time is done they will be released into society knowing they got away with murder.
I think that these types of situations should be dealt with on a case by case basis. The age of the teens also make a big difference. For instance, I wouldn't want a 13 year old tried as an adult, but I could get behind a 17 year old depending on the severity. This case is extremely disturbing and serious.
Even as teenagers, we know that we need to treat other human beings with dignity and respect. Those young adults that commit heinous crimes like murder should be treated as adults when it comes to sentencing. The fact that they are slightly younger does not diminish the severity of their crimes, and the need for society to be protected is more important than the rights of any criminals.
When you make the decision to kill someone, you need to face the consequences. The excuse that they are just teens and didn't know what they are doing is ridiculous. Children know it's not right to kill. Children understand consequences to their actions. So teens, who are almost old enough to be considered adults, should definitely know it's not right. If they don't understand this, they shouldn't be in society anyway.
