Even though they are much younger than the 7th and 8th graders, I think that shouldn't be a reason for them not to play. They could play on teams that aren't nesecarily playing against other schools, but maybe just for fun, and they could at least play in a tournament or something. There are many kids, boys and girls, in 6th grade who are actually really good players! Let's not make them upset, I mean, I think they should definitely be able to.
Sports are a good way for kids to see what sports they want to work hard at . We are people we have a right to what ever we want . If you want to run track it's a way to get faster . Also this is a bad way to start middle school
We should be able to play because it would give us a chance to get into school spirit. Also there isn't a difference in playing the younger league because you are playing the same grade level of kids you would in that league. At our age it is important to exercise and school athletics are a great way to get exercise.
Students should be allowed to play sports so they don't feel left out. I personally don't feel like an honorary middle schooler because I can't participate in middle school activities. Some people only have the opportunity to play sports at school. These people might not have willing sports parents. People have to understand that if you move sixth graders to middle school that it was their choice and to start treating us like middle schoolers.
They should because they might be smaller, but they could be more athletic and stronger than 7 and 8 graders. They could also just be better at the sport and they could be more smart at the sport than the 7 and 8 graders. That is why 6 graders should be able to play
Because it will let them be fit. You can get stronger. Also it will give you a chance to learn how to play the game. Your kids won't always be on their phones they will be playing football instead. Also you get rougher and healthier. We are more responsible with more things to do said some kids.
Just because they are smaller, doesn't mean they can't play. The smaller kids could give football teams an advantage because they can get through all the bigger kids unlike their 7h and 8th grade counterparts. And maybe they are extremely good and didn't even get to try out! Let the little ones play!
Well this gives kids a chance to have some healthy competition. This also gives boys and girls a chance to stay healthy and fit. Some people may argue that girls shouldn't play on sport teams but with out a chance for girls, they will feel less dominate then they really can be.
6th Graders should be able to play middle school sports because they will get more exercise and exercise is important. If 6th graders play sports there will be less obesity problems in 6th grade. 6th graders need more physical exercise, to gain physical strength, build character, thats what i think.
Because it will give kids a fun way to exercise and stop obesity...Take a look around. People are getting fatter and fatter every day if we can maybe start and academic life for younger age people then maybe are generation could start being more academically improved. Plus, it can boost peoples self esteem and help prevent bullying. I say yes...
The girls will whine, scream and complain when they have broken a nail. The girls can be easily hurt by the boys when they have shoved them or have body checked them, even more when they are teenagers. Boys are stronger and they would get turned on. Boys can endure a lot more difficult drills than the girls. It will be unfair to the girls to ask the boys. Boys build more muscle easier than the girls. There are many sports that require so much physical strength that the girls can’t take that the girls can’t just compete with the boys. The girls will be treated differently by the boys than at school. Boys have been proven stronger and more reckless than the girls. Girls couldn’t handle a three hundred pound tackle like the boys. Boys and girls have different body shapes and body sizes.
They shouldn't play sports because the first year should be all about getting use to the environment. Also the girls will break a nail and will whine all day and nobody wants to hear girls whining. Then if they try to go against boys well boys are way stronger then girls and build up muscle way faster.
It's to much Money for any Districts to add a whole new grade level in with 7th graders and 8th graders. New uniforms, more lockers for 6th grade, bigger gyms, and more equipment for all the sports. That's one reason why 6th grade should not play with middle schools. I say no!
The kids could get hurt and have broken bones.DO NOT let them play middle school sports it is dangerous!!!! This is all i have to say about this article. Do not read any more. 6th graders must not be able to play middle school sports or they will get hurt
6 grade bones are way to weak! I have a friend that broke his leg playing football in 7 grade which means if he would have joined a year earlier it probably would have been worse. Plus if you brake the bones in your head you would damage your brain.

There bones are not fully grown yet and if the get hurt it might stunt their growth. Also they need to keep up with education skills or else they might fail the grade if they are more concerned about sports! I hope you agree with me thank you for reading this post give it a thumbs up!
Most country rules clearly state that students cannot play on the school's team until they are in the seventh grade. It should stay that way. The first year of middle school should be used to get established to a new environment. The chances if a sixth grader making the team are slim anyway.
Most cities and communities have recreational leagues and teams in place for younger children. These systems are generally more relaxed, less focused on wins and losses and more focused on kids being kids. School system sports are much more competitive and tense. There is plenty out there already that forces children from having fun and learning life skills to win, win, win.
The first year of junior high should not be focused around playing sports, it should be more to the academic part of school. 7th through 9th have adjusted, learned how to manage their time, and grades. They have the time for the extracurricular activities. It's more than talent. It's Education
