  • It is AWESOME

  • Yes, a space elevator is a great idea

I believe that a space elevator is an excellent idea. It could reduce "launch" costs significantly. I though the idea of having a mother plan ( like Virgin Galactic's) was a great way to reduce launch costs. But a space elevator could use renewable energy (solar-powered lasers) to lift payloads. I would be concerned with the risk of injury if a tether so long broke, but I trust explanations of the people developing the technology.

  • Space elevator will end up as a horrible mess!

The space elevator is a waste! Yes if mkkkkkssa oooooo Smmsmsksksksks ss ss ss ss ss ss. Ssssss ss ss ss ss. Sass sss ss sss ss sss ss ssmmjj$ $$$ $$$ mm, . It all about the money. We should fix problems like climate change instead we are increasing it!!!!

  • A space elevator is not a good idea.

Building a space elevator comes with many downsides that greatly outweigh the pros. The low cost only refers to the cost once it has already been built. We haven't even found the proper technology to build it, let alone protect it from the countless dangers it would face. The money could be used towards other things to improve life on this planet. Maybe it will be a good idea in the future but at the moment, it's a definite no.

  • A space elevator is not good idea.

There is no feasible plan to build a space elevator. Although it sounds like a good idea, the space elevator remains science fiction. It doesn't even make sense that an elevator could be built all the way into space. It is literally a bride to nowhere. Scientists will have to rely on rockets to get into space for the time being.
