Yes, if Subway truly knew about Jared Fogle's sexual abuse problems but continued to utilize him as spokesperson for their company, then they had to have ignored the abuse in order to proceed with their plans. Why they continued to use Fogle as their spokesperson knowing that he had these serious issues is a mystery.
Yes, Subway did ignore Jared Fogle's sexual abuse problems. Just like every other corporation, Subway is about its bottom line. Jared Fogle was an effective spokesman and made the a lot of money, so it's no surprise that they allowed him to get away with sexually abusing young girls and covering it up or ignoring it.
I can't say that I believe Subway ignored Jared Fogles sexual abuse problems. I have seen no evidence indicating that the food chain had or didn't condone his actions. I could see no benefit for Subway in ignoring Jared's problems as the company's reputation has grown and continued to grow without his constant presence.
Jared was selected to represent Subway based on his miraculous weight loss. Subway saw this as an opportunity to promote their sandwiches for health reasons. How could they have known he was a sex offender? What he did on the press tours was most likely after hours. I am sure they would have severed ties long ago with any signs of his sexual abuse problems, as it has turned into a giant PR nightmare.
