Yes, surrogate mothers help families that aren't able to have children without them. They aren't forced to do it, and are very well paid. If the woman decides she is okay with it and wants to help she should be able to. It is a very respectable and loving thing to do.
As someone that suffered through many fertility issues I strongly support surrogacy. Imagine yourself as a young adult who has your entire future in front of you. Imagine the dreams of family, career, and future. Now imagine a doctor telling you that you can never have a family of your own. Those dreams come crashing down with that one statement. Surrogacy is a way to, once again, make that dream a reality.
