Yes, I believe that Donald Trump is looking down on Latinos by making "taco trucks on every corner" a pejorative statement. The way that Donald Trump scoffed at the idea of Latino-operated businesses proliferating across American cities and towns is dangerously xenophobic and also incredibly short-sighted as the United States is increasingly more diverse and as Latino populations continue to grow and succeed.
It is clear Donald Trump looks down on Latinos. This is based on his racist comments, such as Mexico sending over rapists and his proposal to build a wall. Many are hard working, but he does not see them that way. He is playing to the fears of the white male.
Trump, and his supporters have no respect for Latinos. Fortunately the rest of the country does. Trump has made it clear that he does not respect Latinos or any other immigrants based on his actions, even if his words claim otherwise. Even though he did not make the taco truck statement, one of his major supporters did and that reflects poorly on him.
The real data wil be shown at the polling stations across the country in November. Hispanics aren't exactly Black Lives Matter voices and culturally are less vocal. That stands in their favor for making their voices heard in the voting booths this fall. Having seen first hand the cultural differences that can be celebrated by both blacks and latinos I'm more aware of the avenues they choose to be heard from. US Media needs to give all parties respect regardless of the venue.
