    There are multiple ways to preserve stability within the UK and one of them is preserving their currency and remain independent of the market where the fluctuations of the Euro are so unstable that can provoke certain inconsistencies within the inside trading and economy. Hence the entry into the EMU would have a negative effect

    No, the United Kingdom's entry into the EMO would not have a positive impact on the competitive position of the UK's financial services, because the pound is very strong, and the UK would lose that strength by converting to the Euro. The pound has remained strong, even as the dollar and the Euro have declined. The UK was smart not to join the Euro and should not change that now.
