The difference that made me pick a side was the fact that words can be passed down from generation to generation. In war, the only thing passed down is hurt and loss. It is very true, there are many times when physical combat is necessary. We must do the right thing. We must defend those who cant defend themselves. However, if we have a chance to preserve life, lets take it!
In reality, the pen is mightier than the sword as far as history is concerned. Written words can transcend wars and bloodshed. A sword can change the course of history, but words from the pen will have a much more noticeable impact long-term. Most people don't realize how powerful written words are in comparison to violence.
Personally, I believe in the end that the sword is stronger. With a pen, what you can do is limited to simply words, and words can only get you so far. You can have the most logically crafted argument, but none of it will matter if the other person overpowers you.
