  • No responses have been submitted.
  • We need to combat addiction better

The United States is really bad at handling drugs. We make them all illegal, but still have some of the worst addiction rates across the world. What if we were to make them legal? The benefits would far outweigh the costs and would likely resolve many issues that we currently have.

  • United States cocaine problem

With the United States consuming nearly one third of the world's cocaine supply, I definitely think that America is not using the best strategy to combat drug addiction. I think that because the United States citizens usually have a higher disposable income than other countries helps cause this problem. There are better ways to spend your money than on drugs.

  • America is not using the best strategy to combat drug addiction

America is not using the best strategy to combat drug addiction. In fact, it is failing miserably. The war on drugs is a complete and utter disaster. The problem will not be solved by putting drug addicts in prison. It has a better chance of success by treating those with addition. Time to scrap the worthless war on drugs and start over.

  • America's drug strategy is not working.

It is past time for America to rethink it's drug strategy. Locking people up for minor drug offenses makes no sense. It only causes over-population in the jail system. More attention should really be paid to helping people recover from drug addiction. Locking them up is not helping them. The underlying problem needs to be addressed.
