There are two kinds of precepts. Those that have no basis other than in religious creed and those that have a basis in social utility.

  • I cant think of any other kinds of precepts.

We have rules today based on what is good for us all. Every precept i can think that we have we either have because we dont want other people infringing these precepts and hurting or displeasing us or because its basis is in a religious creed. And often the precepts we find in these creeds oppose precepts that are based on social utility. That is one of many reasons why im against religion.

If the Commandments had been numbered
they'd have been numbered in Hebrew, NOT in Latin.

Im the fool? Ok... The question is is there or is there not only two kinds of precepts. I didnt have enough room to add do you agree. What you said had nothing to do with my statement. You answer yes if you agree with the statement no if you dont agree with the statement
