Yes, tidal energy is fairly consistent and reliable. It can be rated up there with solar and wind energy. The tide is always there just as the sun and some wind. It is cheaper way to provide energy and it as supplied my mother nature with little to no interference from man.
I believe it's more consistent and reliable than wind and solar energy. Wind and solar energy are harder to predict than tidal energy. Tidal power requires no fuel and has no emissions. Making it a non pollutant to our environment. The operating cost for Tidal Energy is low in comparison to other renewable energy sources.
