Like many of his other posts on social media, Donald Trump's comparison of Nazi Germany to the United States is based on nothing more than his desire to be outrageous, not any factual evidence. Trump knows full well we live in America, and America's freedoms do not equate in any way to the authoritarian control of Hitler's regime.
Trump should not have mentioned Nazi Germany, just because some people are trying to belittle him, it was a stupid tweet. The problem with Trumps tweets is that he is like a drunk uncle, you know he is going to say stupid stuff on Twitter! This doesn't make it acceptable though, but it's not the worst thing he has said. So, yes he was wrong to say it, but there is a lot of stuff he shouldn't have said and it's served him well.
No, Mr. Trump is not correct to ask on Twitter whether we are living in Nazi Germany because he needs to understand a little more about history. He is a privileged white man who was born with money and is now the president of the United States. It doesn't sound like he's suffering much.
Trump is not correct to ask on Twitter if we are living in Nazi Germany, because Trump is about to be the leader of the free world and he needs to do a better job of controlling public opinion. Trump needs to tone it done and be a leader. He should lead by example and encourage people to calm down.
