Trump has chosen far too many white individuals (more specifically, white males) to be part of his cabinet. For all his claims that he "gets along well with black people," the president elect sure isn't sticking to that ideal. He's choosing people that look and think more similarly to him, which is a risk because they are supposed to represent America, which is a far more diverse country.
Yes, Trump's cabinet is too white. There is not one person of any other race represented in the cabinet. Given that our country is so diverse, this is completely unacceptable. Even more troubling is the fact that these very white people also seem to have varying degrees of racist belief and rhetoric.
Looking at Trump's cabinet and the people that he is tapping to run the government, there are few people of color. There are also few women. There are people out there that are diverse that could represent the entire country and do pretty well. Trump needs to go looking for these people. It would make his government stronger.
Interesting but nothing else. It is the USA. They can do whatever is permitted, and the President-elect can nominate whoever he wants. How they act in their respective roles is something the USA must live with, good or bad. The world can make its own decisions, and depending on events can be supportive or dismissive. Perhaps a slightly more insular USA would not be a bad thing for the rest of us.
