This is merely one of a nigh infinite number of examples as to why Trump will make a terrible President of the United States of America. He is so set in his own foolishness that he cannot face up to asking someone for help. He believes his own hype about his business, so of course he won't ask an economist for help.
Once again we are seeing the true side of Donald Trump. By having an expert economist on his advisory team yet never meeting with that person shows us that Trump has no interest in the economy or how it works and that he will simply make it all up as he goes. The economist on his advisory panel is for show, much like the elaborate facades on Trump's properties that give the appearance of wealth but are rotting beneath with financial turmoil.
Trump doesn't really care about being able to run a country. He just wants to put President on his resume. He likes feeling special and powerful and this is another notch in his narcissistic belt. It is ridiculous that he has not taken the time to meet with his economic advisor. He is just not intellectually curious. Thank goodness the American people are smart enough to stop his train eventually. At least lets hope so.
Donald Trump has never met the only economist on his advisory team. Therefore, this economist will not really be that much help to Trump until the two actually meet and get to know each other. It is impossible for this economist to have much influence over Trump's proposed economic policies without spending time with each other.
