Trump 'will definitely pull out of Paris climate change deal': Will USA actually pull out of Paris agreement?

  • Yes, we will.

The United States will likely pull out of the Paris climate change deal. This deal was never anything concrete - more like a series of proposals and guidelines that countries could follow. However, the agreement could hurt America's economy because its much tougher on developed economies. Therefore, America should pull out of the agreement.

  • Trump does what he says.

If Trump's first week in office has taught us anything, it's that the American people can count on Trump to do the things that he promised he would do during the campaign. Paris was one of the things Trump promised he would do. He is not a big fan of climate change initiatives.

  • Trump will get rid of the Paris climate change deal

Trump has vowed to abolish America's participation in the Paris climate change deal, and unfortunately it looks like he'll get away with it. This is because as president of the United States, he has the power to choose which international agreements we engage in. The precedent was set by George Bush's foot-dragging in other climate change deals, and Bush got away with that, too.

  • Why Would He?

There are almost 130 countries that have signed to the Paris agreement. It isn't a concrete set of rules; however, "not a rule" does not mean "without consequences". Following that logic is the same as saying that smoking is technically not illegal above a certain age, and therefore cannot hurt you. Not only will pulling out of the Paris agreement really hurt America's image as a whole, it will also hurt Trump's image. As we all know very well, that is among the last things he wants. And while it's true that he did start on The Wall as he promised, Trump isn't exactly known for finishing what he starts. Many of his businesses are either frauds or went bankrupt at some point, and he is in heavy debt. As all of these businesses started off as supported ideas, it's likely that this new idea will soon crash as well.

  • This is bullshit.

  • No, the United States will not pull out.

No, the United States of America will not pull out of the Paris agreement. It's too important of an agreement in light of our global desire for a cooperative community and a worldwide need to combat climate change. An ignorant administration will not stand in the way of progress for very long.
