Trump's campaign funnels money to his businesses: Is this a betrayal of the public's trust?

  • Only to people that actually trusted him

Many people knew that Trump is corrupt and rotten. However, there are still many people that did and still do believe all the lies that he told, and truly believe he is a person to idolize. If these people knew that he had been funneling money and lying about it, some of them just might feel betrayed.

  • Yes, i agree

I strongly believe that this is betrayal of the public's trust. Donald Trump’s presidential campaign continues to funnel money to the candidate’s businesses and family, the latest campaign financial disclosures show, and his operation is far from prepared for the final push of this election season. He should not be doing this.

  • Yes, Donald Trump has betrayed the trust of the public by funneling campaign contributions to his business.

Yes, Donald Trump has betrayed the trust of the public by funneling campaign contributions to his business. When his contributors gave to his campaign, they did so with the expectation that their money would be used for campaign-related activities, not to line the pockets of Trump and his business ventures.

  • Trust and Trump don't belong in the same sentence

President-elect Trump channeled some of the values of middle America in his campaign. What he didn't remind us of, and we chose to ignore, is that this guy has used and abused federal and state laws and the tax code to create (and occasionally lose) a financial empire. He hires people to find the most devious ways to fund whatever it is he wants to do. The American population likes to think that "campaign funds" are used for campaigning, but President-elect Trump is going to do things his way -- or he'll stomp out in a huff, complaining.
