TSA has spent one billion dollars on a screening protocol which has been shown to be little more effective than random screenings. Is this yet another example of out of control government spending?

  • All Thanks to 9/11

The TSA and the Homeland Security Department are two of the biggest wastes of money in American government in recent memory. Billions, if not trillions, of taxpayer dollars have been spent in the name of making us safer. Yet the Boston Marathon bombing still happened. Americans are still killed overseas such as in Benghazi, Libya. We aren't safer despite spending all the money. The government is out of control on security spending when it should focus on feeding the hungry and housing the homeless, both of which are forms of economic security.

  • Yes, TSA spending and screening is a waste of money and time.

With as much information as the government is able to intercept regarding terrorist attacks, they need to be focusing on their own intelligence gathering rather than bothering the general public. They had evidence to support previous attacks and ignored it, yet they continue to screen the people and humiliate them with costly screenings that do not stop terrorism.
