The United States should increase foreign aid to Africa in order to help meet the Millennium Development Goals. The United States is already spending too much money on wars and pork barrel spending back at home. If we just moved a little bit of that money over to Africa to help them become developed, the whole world would be a better place.
No, giving aid to Africa, by itself, will not help Africa meet its Millennium Development Goals. Instead, the United States should form a task force to travel to Africa and work on implementing things like private property rights, and a modern justice system. Simply giving money and food will not bring long-term stability or improvement.
