  • Just look at these headlines

14-year-old Boy Kills Father and Brother 'Inspired' by Violent Character Trevor
Grand Theft Auto Drives 8 Year Old to Murder His Grandmother
Grand Theft Auto blamed over Thai taxi driver murder
I don't care how fun they are or that they are "scientifically proven" to not drive people to kill. Why would a child do this

  • This shouldn't even be a question.

It's been proven that there's no correlation between violent videogames and violent behavior, if the child is raised properly. In fact, violent video games have been a form of release, people know they can't kill others in real life, so they do so virtually, and get a lot of the same "reward" from it.

The reason GTA5 was banned was because feminists want female superiority over men and don't like that it's equally possible to kill women than it is men in this game. Feminists are morons.

  • The statistics are against violent video games leading to actual violence- even their flawed reason is wrong.

Check the vast majority of statistics- they'll pretty much without exception say that violence in video games and violence in real life correlate. In the small ways it does, it's actually being violent in real life that makes violence in video games appeal to them even more than to your average kid. So correlation is minute, and causation is even less.

  • There is no justification for this.

The only argument that makes a slight bit of sense to this is the "they make kids become violent and teach bad habits" though even this argument is flawed since games have an rating corresponding to the content of the game, so if it says 18 it most likely contains themes that are only suitable for an 18 year old! Also for a child to take inspiration from a game like GTA into the real world and think that its ok , the parents of that child have a huge role to play in it! Myself I played various violent games when I was very young though I was brought up with the right principles and mentality to know right, this is a game and isn't acceptable in a normal society. Regardless there is a huge market for violent video games for people who are actually old enough to play them so why should the majority of the people who play these violent games suffer because of a small 1%.

  • Different people have different controls

Some people play violent games and start to kill, because they don't know how to control themselves, so that's why violent games are mostly 18+, so follow the rules, and there will only be 1% of people played and kill. Also, if you can control yourself, then you are a normal human, don't let games rule your head, because violence is a part of nature, so violent video games shouldn't be banned

  • They Shouldn't Be Banned

Many parents are second guessing letting their children play violent games like GTA or COD but it also depends on how the child feels about this matter. Many children are saying that they play those games but don't feel like the want to grab a gun and kill someone. And also if that logic worked wouldn't that mean that if they played game like FIFA 15 they will become a professional football player?

  • If You Blame Violence on Video Games that's Rubbish

Video games should not be banned, that's just rubbish! According to the article on ProCon.Org, "Total US sales of video game hardware and software increased 204% from 1994 to 2014, reaching $13.1 billion in 2014, while violent crimes decreased 37% and murders by juveniles acting alone fell 76% in that same period". Some video games that I play, for example Pokemon and Super Mario are not violent. If people play violent video games, it is just their dumb decisions to be mean. If you blame video games for violence that is rubbish.

  • Why Ban Violent Video Games?

We have the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and other Rating system that tell you if the game is violent and whether or not you want your kid should have it. The only Problem is retailers not enforcing the ESRB rating and selling a game to any one with a pulse and cash as well as not advising parents of the content is of the game there kid wants.

  • Violent video games should not be banned.

If a person doesn't like those games, then he/she has a choice to not play it. Games are not a mandatory things to do. If he/she can release stress, or feel better by playing so then they can play it. Even if for example a parent dislike their child, it's not their choice and if they educate well their child will not do in real life.
